I don't like the Thomas pick, to me he is another R Brown, a guy we are trying to replace, no?
but I am so annoyed hearing all of these columnists and fans saying we gave up "so much" to get him, "3 picks." Come on. We traded a 3d for a 2d. And to do that we gave up a 5th and 1 of our 3 7ths. That's a lot? According to the draft chart we hosed the Skins on the deal. My problem is what we did with the pick, not moving up 2 lower picks to move up into the 2d round.

Somebody (I think Omar) called him Ronnie Brown without the injury problems.

I will take that all day!

ah, got it, but my point is the same, we needed to get more dynamic than another RBrown at the position. let's sign d williams and i am ok

With the money we spent last year on 2 players, and the almost assurred reduced salary cap looming, I wouldn't expect us to spend alot whenever FA starts, I think the Thomas pick knocks Deangelo out of the box. And i'm fine with that.

Ronnie Brown was a beast before he took too many injuries.

Knee, foot, all kinds of injuries. Brown is not the same RB he used to be.

I would be thrilled with a healthy/non-injury prone Ronnie Brown.

Especially a 2nd round Ronnie Brown, not a 2nd *OVERALL* Ronnie Brown. Which is what we got.

brown was great only 1/2 a season, that was the year we sucked under cam moron. otherwise he's been average at best. he never really even had a 1000 yard season (clearing the hurdle 1 year by like 3 yards does not impress me)

Well I believe its because of his injuries issues.

We are hoping Gates is Mike Wallace, Thomas, Matt Forte

Could have dropped down and got more picks and probably got equal or better value, and more bodies

I agree if he is anything like ronnie brown when healthy i take that all day. Ronnie had a little stretch there when he was healthy he was a beast.

Injuries can take a toll on any player. It killed ronnies career. Just too many injuries.

really? last time I checked we had 2 Elite RB's. Where is our Elite QB? OK I hear you. very servicable RB's anyway. Where is our Servicable QB? Oh free agency you say?

Nice, so we are gonna hope we fill our #1 posistion of need hopefully after the lockout nonsense is over. But We HAD to have the RB so bad we pissed away 3 picks to get him.

???????????????????????????????? But I'm the whining Douche? You people deserve to lose year after year.

We dont have 2 elite RB's. We have 2 old RB's, one is a pot smoker and one is injury prone. BTW, neither is coming back.

Your point was an Epic Fail, Treasure.

No its not a epic fail.

We reached on a slow RB, who only has one cut.

Really? Thats the future RB for this team, yeah good luck with that.

NOW if we get McElroy in the 6th, then I am ok with the draft.

I like Edmunds, I perfere Mathews, but again if we can nab herzlich in the 7th, then Im ok with our draft.

Mia1,

What if we get DeAngelo Williams and have Daniel Thomas? What would your opinion be then?

This is a two back league. Ricky and Ronnie are gone. You can bet everything you own we are going after a Free Agent RB this offseason, whenever FA resumes.

Just talk to me during the season and let me know what you think of him. Because I bet you didnt watch 1 K-State game. He had 2,880 yards and 30 TD's in 2 seasons. On top of holding off the #1 recruit in the nation, Bryce Brown...who was he backup and couldnt get on the field because Thomas was so good.

Hey I won't crucfy untill the regular season roster is out, and his name better be on it and running for over 100 yards a game, or pretty close to it.

I'd be better about it anyway. I forgot about him. I had Tunnel Vision on Stanzi.

Yeah, Thomas ran faster than Ingram did.
