If he's smart he will take that Million or so he made off us and invest it for the future. He still got a free college education and he has no kids. Go get a job looking to add a intelligent token to make the company look politically correct . He can have a nice life and retire for real in 20-30 yrs better off then any one of us will.

white could go to philly, it doesn't matter where he goes, he has the least "nfl" body of anyone I've ever seen, esp at the QB position. The guy is so not an nfl player it's not even funny. how we could spend a #2 on him and overlook that is beyond me

Anyone who says Pat White sucks is a p****. You would find out if you compared yourself to him. The guy was athletic enough to get a shot at MLB and the NFL. Very few people have done that. Yeah the phins front office was stupid for drafting him in the second rnd not his fault.

I suppose all you guys that like to whine and says that he sucks were Div 1 starting qbs and a good enough athlete to get a shot at the NFL and MLB. He did not pan out that's that.

bunch of P****'s

not a Pat White fan but he really seemed like a good kid. He was not some arrogant jerk. He came in tried, failed and left. I respect what he did at WV. He is gone let him go. He did nothing to dishonour the phins. Just let the guy go on. Yeah he might have stunk but so did Jay Feidler, Beck etc

Fiedler on the roof was not as terrible as Pat White was.

But I think alot can be attributed to him being in the wrong place/system.

He should go to Philly.

mizzou, Pat white DID suck, on the pro level. I don't think anyone here is saying he wasn't a good college QB, or that he was a bad person. But how can you say someone who didn't complete a pass or hit the side of a barn in practice, then was cut after 1 year and not signed by anyone, doesn't suck? Horrible, horrible 2d round pick. I think most here recognized that right away (with some very obvious exceptions!!)

I wonder about the Trifecta's eval of what was between his ears and in his heart. I wonder if part of his struggles to develop & perform were due to lack of one/the other/both. If so, then he was an even worse pick in the 2nd round than it originally appeared. (I, for one, was intrigued at the potential and thought he would translate MUCH better than he did)

Nobody is saying pat white is not a good kid. He is a good kid agreed. He just could never play at the NFL...pro level...That is not a crime.

Its not a crime saying he Stunk as a pro player either.

BTW Fieldler was the last QB other than marino that was worth something. We won many games with fiedler. Even went to the playoffs with him.

PS> Not compairing him to marino. Not at all.

How quickly we all forget Chad Pennington! I also thought Gus Frerotte was pretty good when he was here.

Frerotte and pennington were good as well but fiedler was better.

And also the year we went to the playoffs with pennington was the year of the wildcat and that had a lot to do with us been sucessfull since it took everybody by surprise.

I know fiedler wasnt a superstar but we won a lot of games with him . And he was durable. He made things happen with his feet.

Steady player not a superstar but good enough to win in the regular season.

Not sure but i think we had a winning record most of the time he was here.

I forgot the names of most of the other qbs that played for the phins since marino. Maybe we should make a poll...And see how people vote who was the best since marino.

Well, celebrity spokespersons for companies are always considered "token" celebrities pushing a product so my initial read of the post was that it was meant in that spirit but I can't figure out what TreasureCoast meant by "politically correct" so perhaps he can explain it to us.

BTW: You need to consider Fiedler pre and post shoulder injury. Regardless, Pennington was the runner-up to league MVP in 2008. Fiedler never did that. That was Pennington's year. He wasn't great, but I feel he was better than Fiedler ever was.

Just too small and frail for the NFL.

Don't think anybody would be as up in arms about him if he was a 5th or 6th rounder...so, not his fault our FO had their heads up their backsides. Not a man on this board would have turned down the money that was offered, even if we didn't think we were necessarily worth it. I see him finding a good career somewhere, probably in sales or investments where good manners and charm (ie, knowing when to show appreciation) can take you a long way!!!
