Cox was the LB's equivalent to Wes Welker...with a little less self-control. He had a TON of fire. Unfortunately, as an ILB, he doesn't hold a candle to Buoniconti, Duhe, Offerdahl, or Thomas.

You are absolutely right. Never liked this guy as a player. Way over rated. I hope he is a better coach.

They'll need to consider bringing in Mean Joe Greene to hold Cox by the back of the collar just in case he gets mad at the refs.

Yeah, we're hiring a coach, not considering him for his old playing spot.

I remember the Bills fans throwing a 9 volt and it bouncing off his head. Good times.

Dolphins just hired Cox as a "Pass Rushing Coach"? never heard of that one before but i'll bet he adds some fire to the boys.

Cool get some old Dolphin vet with a temper. Hell yeah this will help within division games, especially Buffalo.

SO, when the defense racks up a sack, they'll show Cox on the sideline with the fist pump (With a middle finger sticking up)? spinning smiley sticking its tongue out

Yeah just what we need. Penalties from the sidelines. I don't see him firing up anyone. These are pros not HS kids.

Your right we are sorry, we forgot you know all about being a pro football player, and how they get fired up.

My bad.

i like this move, still unsure of his exact role? but He should definitely add a spark to the team for sure.

"It's been fun to get the reaction of visiting coaches to the color of their locker room. Most don't notice it, but those that do are in trouble. . . . When I talk to an opposing coach before a game and he mentions the pink walls, I know I've got him. I can't recall a coach who has stirred up a fuss about the color and then beat us.” Hayden Fry

Judging by your response to Leon, I guess you weren't being sarcastic here.

Leon,

Am I right in thinking that you thought you were agreeing with the Stunner?

I'd rather have Zack Thomas as a coach.............

Here are the total "pressure" plays, adding up sacks, QB hits, and pressures.

Cam Wake- 66
Koa Misi- 32
Randy Starks- 31
Kendall Langford- 27
Tony McDaniel- 18
Paul Soliai- 12
Yeremiah Bell- 12
Karlos Dansby- 11

So, while our overall pass rush numbers look good on paper, it was really all about Wake.

In a 3-4, the majority of the pressure typically comes from the WOLB...ala Lawrence Taylor.
