Sparano is not a head coach. He is a cheerleader. As such, this franchise is basically the metaphorical cruise ship headed straight for an iceberg, with Captain Sparano merely blowing the horn instead of actually steering the ship.

The only thing that needs to go is you.

If Brad Childress showed as much emotion on the sidelines for his players as Tony Sparano he may still have a job.

I like our coach, either so the team had to settle for a FG, you don't think the players appreciate it when they see their head coach applauding their efforts?

Another clueless fan with a stupid post nice job krunk fu only on this site would somebody make a comment about the failures of the team when we had the lead or we had already won the game lol......

Having a HC that's exuberant is a style of leadership that I prefer.

Believe me it's far better to know when the main man is happy or unhappy than when that guy is aloof and unemotional. I've had considerable experience with both types and the ones you could easily read had far better performing people and operations. Sparano's side line behavior is easy to read.

Brad Childress, is probably a nice guy, but I'll take a loud, boisterous, and animated leader who knows his stuff over one that is quiet and unassuming any day.

Attitude always rolls downhill, and it starts from the top.

A head coach who is happy to settle for 50 yard field goals does nothing but lower the players' expectations. He has not been hired to be their best friend, nor was he hired to make them feel better about themselves.

Instead, he was hired to dictate the course of the team, which must include setting reasonable expectations. Players must be held accountable for their failures as often as they are praised for their success. Failing to meet expectations should not be met with resounding applause.

Simply think back to the first year that the Trifecta took over. I recall many instances of Sparano flat out cutting players for failing to meet expectations. There were multiple cuts each and every week, and it set the groundwork for the greatest turnaround in NFL history. The players performed above their potential because they were motivated by the fear of getting cut.

I'll also remind you that we won the AFC East that year.
