Take a chance on Young. He is no more a time bomb than Mike Vick killing dogs or Ben Rothsburger being the perfect the date for your daughter. I see a passionate hot heade guy who needs to turn the temper down a bit. I would take the chance.

Vince Young hasn't matured as a man. He was terrific at the college level but hasn't been able to overcome the complexities of NFL defenses, and cope with the higher level of NFL play. While he is the athlete, unless he sees the light at the end of the tunnel pretty soon, mentally, he'll be just another QB flop, heading for the unemployment line. I don't think he'll be sporting a Titans uniform next season.

Looks like he was asked to leave the Titans facility today.

I'm comparing Ireland and Ross to Hitler and Sparano to Rommel.

Outside of that PhinsFans2, we are not going to agree.

I think Ross took away full control, as Parcells had under Huizenga. SO I dont think Ireland has full control. The Dolphins are losing money and Ross is nowhere near the deep pockets as Huizenga. Parcells chose to hand over the team the day before final roster cuts(Will Allen, Jake Grove). And then pack up his office for good, on the last days of trades... I think Ross has has had an impact on not having high priced questionable players on the roster like Grove and Allen, and possibly the lack of signing of some free agents, like a second reciever and or safety. Yes I know he allowed them to sign Dansby and Marshall, but we also supposedly lowballed the safety from Pittsburg. This is all specualtion of course, but I can tell you Parcells didnt leave for no reason out of the blue.. And the days he chose to make press and leak stuff coincided with these dates symbolicly IMO.

Aren't we still paying Will Allen? I thought he was on IR.

Well, we can agree to disagree but I don't understand the disappointment in the historical analysis unless you are simply saying that it doesn't apply.

Germany lost WWII because Hitler took control of fighting the war.

Frankly, I've come to expect better from you on both the football and the historical stuff.

RESPONSE: Then it's not my historical analogy with which you disagree but its applicability to the situation. Thus, you are really not disappointed in the "historical stuff" as well.

I love abstract arguments.

No thanks on Vince Young. I'd rather have a 50 year old Dan Marino.

It's moot. I think he is going on IR. OUt for the season. And if the Titans have any say, out for his career.

Id give Sean Smith, Vernon Carey & Channing Crowder for VY but other than that I dont know...guys not playing with a full deck even though he would definitely fit into our offense nicely

YOUCH!!! Don't give away the farm for one chicken, dude. I agree that those 3 guys aren't necessarily probowlers, but they'd be starting for many teams in the league.

montequi,

I was being sarcastic for the most part due to the fact that it would never happen, but on the other hand Vernon Carey and Sean Smith SUCK, and Crowder isnt much better...hope we upgrade and get rid of these BUMS in the off-season

Shows how little you understand about Football, All of these guys have played inconsistent at times this season but they have also all played lights outs at times. Cut these guys or "bums" as you say, and we would have at least 2 more losses this season mayber 3. Go back and watch the film.

I would give Crowder away for a box of condoms and $100 in singles. The guy is garbage

Since when has Sean Smith ever played "lights out"? The guy is horrible...theres a reason he got beat out by JASON ALLEN in training camp...Ive almost threw the TV into wall multiple times for the INTs this guy drops. Did I mention he cant tackle worth a damn? What good is he

Vernon Carey is grossly overpaid and looks like he belongs in a retirement home. Have you seen how out of shape this guy looks? He gets beat 9/10 plays anymore. The guy SUCKS

I havnt given up on Crowder yet, but Im starting to grow weary

A&O, Frank Rizzo said some ridiculous things, but I don't think this was one of them.
