In total agreement.Henne STILL locks on,is jittery in the pocket and doesnt inspire. At least when Thigpen was in Kansas he generated offence which was an average offence at that.I mean ,come on,Henne at the halfway point is 8 tds and 10 ints..and people think we can make the playoffs with them numbers...i dont think so.

I agree with a switch but not for thigpen, he makes more mistakes than henne. He would make the offense more exciting though.

I would put in chad to try an salvage the season. If we cannot make the playoffs then I would play thig to see what he can do

Agreed time to see what we have and whether we need to look at mallet , Pryor or Foles in 2011

Ingram and Lamichael james or Mikel Leshoure are possibilies

Mentioned I was ready for Thigpen 3 weeks ago, and got scoffed at by a few.
Has more to do with moxy. Thig has it, Henne doesn't have a trace.
"If you don't produce, no matter who you are, you will be replaced." needs to be the culture.
It may do Henne some good to watch from the sidelines a bit.

Lamichael James is too small. He is benefiting from their system more than anything else. Oregon runs the wildcat basically every down.

Blount is a thug. He was suspended for almost his entire Senior year for slugging a player on the sidelines. We don't need this type of character on our team. It seems like Channing Crowder, who got in trouble in college, is creating distractions for this team now.

why do we want to switch to thigpen exactly? You can make the arguement that "he inspires" whatever that means, but he is still mistake prone and not any more physically gifted than Henne, besides that we know he isn't a franchise Qb and never will be, so whats really the point playoffs are pretty well impossible at this point, so leave Henne in and let him develop the rest of the year and evaluate him come january.

"It's been fun to get the reaction of visiting coaches to the color of their locker room. Most don't notice it, but those that do are in trouble. . . . When I talk to an opposing coach before a game and he mentions the pink walls, I know I've got him. I can't recall a coach who has stirred up a fuss about the color and then beat us.” Hayden Fry

Henne simply is not the answer to any question. He is not that accurate, he is not that slick, and he sure as heck is not that comfortable in the pocket. I don't care who we put in, but I just feel like Henne is sitting there and occupying space, and that is almost impossible to watch on Sunday.

1 int - tipped pass
1 int- hartline slipped

1 missed field goal
1 dropped picked 6

Jake Long getting pushed back all day.
Vontae Davis getting abused by the elderly.
No tackling. How many YAC did they get after first contact.
No one spying Ray Rice.

This is why we lost not Henne. If he plays too conservative for you than blame the OC and HC.

JasonGuess,

I appreciate your insight. Very intelligent! But a question, why are there so many idiots on this board?

Ive have learned though, when the day Henne is gone comes, then they will just find someone else to blame *EVERY SINGLE LOSS ON*!

They did it with Ginn, now it is Henne....

For people to be complaining about Henne today is ridiculous. The defense was an embarassment. A complete, and total embarassment. We cannot defend a screen pass to save our lives. We can't defend QB rollouts with a TE or FB drag. The number of missed tackles was shameful. On Mcgahee's TD, it looked like our guys were stuck in quicksand. Chris Clemons and Sean Smith can't catch anything. And Smith is still getting beat like a drum, just like last season.

And how is that we only gave our running backs 11 carries today? 11? really?

Every week it's the same tired old lines:

"It's not Henne's fault."

"For you to blame this one on Henne is idiotic, stupid, ridiculous, etc."

"We lost because of $##@@@$$%&^(^ not because of Henne."

The truth of the matter is that nothing that Henne does is ever game-changing, according to most people on this board. I guess you all think the QB position is pretty minor, since nothing he ever does is capable of losing the game for us. I would argue that the QB position is the most important position on the field.

I am not saying that we don't have problems in nearly every facet of the game, god knows that we do. But I would argue that it is EXTREMELY DISINGENOUS OF ANYONE ON THIS BOARD TO SAY THAT HENNE IS PLAYING WELL.

The truth is that Henne is a problem, along with all the other problems with this team.

HENNE is not entirely to blame but is part of the problem....3 picks adds to another lousy loss.

Look Jason go kick rocks Mikeo. lol Second Henne doesnt mave the mental part down Ive been saying this for a year, and I get it he can play well for 5 mins straight, but then he muffs it.

For instance alot of his balls are too low, or out of position, his lead on balls is not where it needs to be, his touch pass's are a joke, look at the 5 yards dump off in the ENDZONE.

Henne just will never be anything more than Kitna well put.

Now put in Thigpen please at least he throws the damn ball with a exclamation !

Who cares we not going to SB this year so fine keep playing Henne.

I don't care I would rather see Thigpen in this situation, however I never watched a SB win in my lifetime so I guess I can keep waiting, no sweat off my sack.

SamSam to say I don't know anything is a bit harsh.

Heck even I give credit when credit is due even to the likes of you and various other posters.

Keep up the name calling SamSam. "moron" huh ok your upset so I won't report it.

Honestly I'm just glad your off the OZ stuff I'm glad you found some help!

That, more that anything, pissed me off. How do you keep letting the same guy kill you repeatedly? How many times does it need to happen before some adjustment is done? I hear the coaches say that these are blown assignments, but it is their job to prepare the players for such occurences. It simply didn't seem that they were prepared.

I guess they need to go back to the basics and fundamentals. Yes that's it. They need to run past and around more trashcans. That's what I would do. More trashcan drills, but be sure to yell "Let's go!!!" alot.

There are great Practice coaches. There are great Game Day coaches. Rare coaches excel at both. Bad coaches excel at neither. We've had a lot of coaches come through here since Shula. In his prime, Shula was great at both. Towards the end practices became a formality, but he never really lost his Game Day savvy. Since then :

JJ: Great Practice coach, Average Game Day coach
Wanny: Average to Bad Practice coach, Bad Game Day coach
Saban: Average to Bad Practice coach, Average Game Day coach
Cam: Bad Practice coach, Bad Game Day coach
Sparano: Average Practice coach, Bad Game Day coach

Seems this way to me.

Your majority of coaching should be throughout the week. There should only be "halftime adjustments" on game day.
