Huh. I figured that is where you would take pictures of the game from. Sounds like you can't. Well it must be a nice view at least.

Mike did you see the group of old-timers standing around (Dolphins side about the 20 yrd line) before the game? Was Ross with that bunch and were some of those guys ex players? I didn't recognize any faces but I just got the feel they were.

Yep. That was Ross. Those were the "NFL LEGENDS" they announced prior to the game. Ross was talking with Larry Little over there and some other NFL Legends.

1)First off, Edwards and Buffalo's passing offense was non existent, except for the no huddle drive at the end of game... It is easy to play safety against a team that cannot throw the ball at all. This game did nothing to solidify Clemons pass coverage ability IMO. Buffalos OLine, Edwards and most of the Buffalo recievers played awful...Clemons mades a nice tackle or 2 against the run but that was never his knock, his knock was being out of position in pass defense, more specific deep help coverage. I was happy with Clemons play but lets wait and see until we face a team that can pass. Buffalo was hardly a test for Clemons IMO..

2)Next, is Berger, He looked like a back up and the weakest part of our Oline. Did Berger shut up alot of critics before or after he got beat several times, or was it when the NT would push him back on top of Henne, tripping him up... Berger did not get much of a push either, which is why most of the successfull runs were not up the middle.. Where last year up the middle was our bread and butter.

6)Was Benny Sapp amazing before of after he completely blew the zone coverage and gave up a TD to Roscoe Parrish....

We won the game, which is great, but I dont agree with these assessment's of the game... I thought STarks, Odrick, Misi, Langford, Wake and Dansby were the studs on Defense, and Fasano, Marshall and Ronnie, played well on Offense. Henne did a good job of taking care of the ball and not making costly mistakes, which in this game, one costly mistake by Henne and we lose the game... Henne managed the game well, although he did not play lights out...

From what I have ascertained, Benny Sappy and Tyrone Culver both blew the assignment. One reporter said..."Note to Culver. Don't look over the top for safety help. You are the safety." lol

Culver didn't look that great as I recall. Sapp may still be adjusting to Nolan's defensive schemes.

That is why Clemons was handed the FS job over Culver. And why Rashed Jones is the back-up FS and not Culver.

I thought Culver had a couple of solid plays. They like the 3 safety defense. On the TD, unless one of the coaches or players tell the press, we'll never know who was at fault. Sapp played it like he had help over the top, and Culver played it like Sapp should have been in man to man. On the outside, Davis ran with his man the whole way, so it wasn't pure zone.

Culver looked like to me as a SS, not a FS, because he tackled well, was solid against the run, but blew a couple coverage's, and well hey?

So I guess Carpenter got the start at ILB because Dobbins was hurt on the opening kickoff.

Without Crowder and Dobbins we are in trouble. We need at least one to be healthy and play if we want to beat quality teams. Beating Buffalo with back-ups isn't anything to crow about.

So not a bad performance considering we were without our #2 and #3 ILB's, our starting SOLB, our starting nickle d-back (Will Allen) and a last minute starter at CB (Jason Allen)...and our starting LDE for most of the game.

Is is the right mix of guys? Did we look better because of who we played? Or will we be even better with Crowder, Dobbins and Odrick?

One play that bit us was the TD to Parrish but considering Sapp has only been playing in the system for a week or so, he did pretty darn good to limit it to one mistake.

Moore looked a little overwhelmed to be playing on the big stage but hopefully he will get more comfortable.

Personally I was pretty impressed with Misi. He seemed to always be around the ball or pressuring the QB. Is IAF even better or would he have just played vs the run in the base package?

Tune in next week to find out I guess.

Lol I want to know peoples assessment of Buffalo if we would have lost, because, alot still arnt giving this team enough credit.

Oh WELL I guess some on here wont be satisfied unless we lose, so they can go complain.

Some people are just pessimistic, and they can't help it?

Look, who we played had a big part of how we fared yesterday. BUT, the one thing I noticed is on defense we have much more team speed. A lot more actually. We are very athletic on defense. Lack a lot of experience, but we have some athletes there.

Offense is a huge work in progress. I fear Jon Jerry is in for the toughest 2 weeks of his life with Minny and Jets coming up. They are gonna attack him.
