They've made their share of mistakes but at the same time have made some strides. We can't go calling for their heads just yet, especially with the whole season in front of us. If this was week 14 and we find ourselves 3-11 then yea lets get the torches but not yet. I still have faith that this regime knows what they're doing. At least they are way better than all the crap we put up with the last few years. If Henne can show us something this season then we are in good shape. If not its back to loading it all on ronnie, who may very well get hurt again, and Ricky and that will get us to 7-9 if we are lucky.

ROTFLMMFAO....I knew it phinfan2 i absolutely knew it. Mia1 is russian???????? Now that makes a lot of sense.
I have been a fan and going to games since 5 in the orange bowl, i have seen alot of ups and unfortunately downs. Even when we had zero wins under Cam/Mueller, and a win looked impossible, I still had faith, we would win one.. Losing sucks, but faith in your team is what makes you a true fan, it is easy to be a fan of the saints right now, every year, people come out of the wood work to jump on bandwagons of SUperbowl Winners.. It takes a true fan to keep the faith no matter what... Trust me I wasnt happy wit Cam, or Wanny, but I still kept the faith!
However this year, I believe it will be very easy to keep the faith and we will have alot of Bandwagon jumpers before we know it. Thank the heavens for what the TRI has been able to do in turning around this franchise.... Nothing worse then negative ungreatful fans IMO. Go Phins!

I agree, i have gone to the Heat games since inception. New York Fans would take over the stadium in the early days and very few Heat fans would stand up to them and claim our house.... Mourning and the boys brought it back in the early days, but I cant disagree that Miami fans are fairweather but most are greatful win they win at least..lol..
Yep. Nobody cares about the Marlins. Even their new stadium will be empty in short order. Nobody cares about that team. And the Heat won a Championship in what, 2006....and just last year they had an empty building. They didn't even get a 2 or 3 year honeymoon for winning a championship. The Fans gave up on them and turned on them.
The Heat needed to go sign some mega-superstars to get the fans interested again. Which really is sad.

I dont think the fans turned on them, its just in south Florida, not many locals, people are from all over the world. We have beautiful beaches, oceans and waterways, lots of entertainment. All of this in south Florida is alot to compete with for the sports franchises...
I've seen every snap of every game since 1985. I've earned the right to be as critical as I want to be. I'll root like hell for us to win but given the past 25 years or so I reserve the right to be a bit wary that all of the moves the FO has made are brilliant---esp when a lot of them are very questionable right off the bat.
Well, looking at the competition in the AFC east the only concern I have is maybe the Jets...but I'm not sure they're all they say they are, or at least what their coach thinks they are. He's a blow hard, plain and simple. Even Revis with his hold out and missing the preseason is going to be missing a step or two I think.
I give us a 60/40 chance of winning the division and a 70/30 of at least getting in with a wild card this year.

Its been a long time since I've posted--been busy.
I've been able to keep track of team progress and the NFL draft and do find things to be unsettled. Some of you have used the words "in disarray," which may be accurate. Watching the preseason games was inconclusive as to who really has talent. Vontae Davis showed some real spunk, but most of the others seem to have been just going through the paces cautiously. Training is never like the real thing so the coaches have to look closely at players who show potential. The first half of the Bills game on Sunday will reveal a lot about the offensive line--whether they are playing as a unit and executing their blocks.
Henne, still has shown me nothing. I am of the opinion that Chad Henne does not possess the leadership skills to be wholly effective. If you've ever watched Marino in his early years, you can see his keen ability to lead men. Peyton Manning is another excellent example of leadership on the field.
Thigpen shows good skills, I think better overall than Henne, but his leadership skills are not visible. Perhaps, he needs more opportunity.
I believe the Dolphins have improved at the WR position and remain solid at RB. Special teams, however, needs a lot of work. We will lose games because of poor field position.
Unless something miraculous happens in the secondary, I predict a mediocre year (8-8).

Well, we've tried to address that with the signing of Clifton Smith. Hopefully it will pay off!

Don't judge the secondary on the preseason games. Those preseason games mean nothing. Wait till at least after this upcoming Sunday's game before ya get all over them.
And comparing Henne to Marino and Peyton isn't fair. 2 of the best ever. Henne isn't on that level, shouldn't be compared to either.

No Im not on drugs I just don't care that much about my grammer.
There is alot more important things in life than to worry about correct spelling, and sentance building usage of "marks".
I keep it readable and thats all that matters.
You are right though. I am funny!
I tell you what Ranger hmmmmmmm! AH HAH!!!
So you don't feel left out and can vote, why don't you come teach me the proper way's of grammer?

I have seen ever snap since 1980, and that does not justify me being a critical negative jerk about the team... In the immortal words of the Dude.... Your not wrong Walter, your just an Asshole....lol... Just becasue you feel you have the right to be negative, doesnt mean it is the right thing to do...
Preseason is not the best barometer to judge a team's ability to perform. No doubt about it. The first game is a better indicator but not the final word. Dealing with opponents when it counts will test their mettle. I'd like the offensive line to push the D back, open holes for our RBs, and pass protect like a steel curtain. Our secondary will be tested early, that includes Dansby. If he's able to make an interception, that will send a strong message. Actions speak louder than words. I expect another good year from Bell. He's pretty solid.
A couple of follow-up comments on leadership. Referencing Marino in his early years as QB was to illustrate his very obvious leadership skill set at that point in his career. As the years passed his leadership skills grew. In comparison, Chad Henne has not exhibited that kind of presence on the field at this stage in his NFL career. To me he appears to be uncertain on what he's doing. I just don't see him as a take charge kind of QB. There are dozens of them playing in the NFL and only a few standouts. Watch Drew Brees tonight. He got the "right stuff."
