I believe we'll trade a few players (Brown, Smiley, Ginn?) for additional picks. So here's my shot in the dark on that:
Brown to SD for 3rd & 5th (91, 159)
Smiley to Seattle for 4th (104)
Ginn to Oakland for 5th (138)
Miami trades #12 to NE for #22 and #44.
Miami Trades #22 to Dallas for #27 and 2011 2nd
NE takes Derrick Morgan.
Dallas Takes Mike Iupati.
Miami Draft:
#27: Jerry Hughes, OLB TCU
#44: Linval Joseph, NT, E. Carolina
#73: Jimmy Graham, TE Miami
#91: Reshad Jones, FS/SS Georgia
#104: Greg Hardy, OLB Mississippi
#110: Deji Karim, RB S. Illinois
#138: Thaddeus Gibson, OLB Ohio St.
#159: Blair White, WR Mich St
#173: Brandon Spikes, ILB Florida
#174: Brandon Sharpe, OLB Texas Tech
#179: Mike Williams, WR Syracuse
#212: Michael Hoomanawanui, TE Illinois
#219: Martin Tevaseu, NT UNLV
#252: Lemarcus Coker, RB Hampton
I know its a pipe dream, but that would put a nice bow on this off-season for me in every possible way.

Think the Tri would take a little less value then the trade chart calls for to re-coop some 2nd day picks? If the chart called for us to get back a late rnd #2 and we were offered a mid #3, I would take it just because we have so many holes to fill.
We need starters so I would trade from later rounds to move up and take as many top 100 players as I could. We still have 9 picks and are going to deal at least one out of Smiley, Brown, Thigpen and Ginn....most likely Smiley.

Ronnie Brown has to sign his tender before he can be traded. You can't trade a guy who hasn't signed his tender. So until he does he ain't going anywhere either
The only prediction I'll make is that the Phins resign JT and draft a FS in the first round.
On a side note I am going to the draft. A buddy of mine called last night and told me. Never been to one so I am pretty excited. I'll be the "inside guy" on draft day. Will be posting from my Iphone.

I'm going to go a little more research on this but I don't think that is the case.
Today is the deadline for teams to submit offers to other teams RFA's.
After today, if a player hasn't signed an offer sheet from another team then he can be traded since his only remaining option is to sign the tender with his original team even if he doesn't do that for a few more week just to avoid OTA's.
April 15th is not only the due date for submitting your tax forms, but it is also the deadline for teams submitting offers for Restricted Free Agents (RFA's).As of this date, any RFA still unsigned must either sign their current team's tender offer sheet to remain with their team or wait to see if they will be dealt in a trade.
I have a feeling Denver might go after Earl Thomas at 11. That would suck and in that case I would definitely trade down if I could.
I just have a feeling that they won't draft a WR as everyone expects.

you didn't answer my question before.
What is the range you expect Spikes to come off the board in?
I didn't realize he ran that slow. Personally I would pass on him. What do you do with a LB'er that is slower than your DT?
I have no idea how teams will value him now. Pretty far slide for a guy that was supposed to be the first LB'er taken last year if he declared.

What makes you say that Mike? You can trade RFA's who haven't signed their tenders. We did just that with Wes Welker a few years ago.
You can't trade a player who isn't signed in some way shape or form. Welker was different. Welker signed with New England with a poisin pill in the contract. Miami had a week to match the offer. New England wanted him so bad they worked out a deal with Miami to insure Miami wouldn't match the deal. Hence, it was a trade, but Welker was signed with New England.
You can't trade a player that isn't signed to a team. Ronnie Brown hasn't signed his RFA. He isn't a member of the Miami Dolphins. THEY CAN"T TRADE HIM UNTIL HE SIGNS IT!!!!!!!

Yeah, that's a common misconception but it isn't what actually happened. Welker never signed a poison pill deal. He would have, but the Pats didn't want to set that precedent in the division so they offered us an EXTRA 7th rounder to avoid having to go the poison pill route. We accepted and traded him (his RFA tender unsigned) to the Pats.
Technically, the Pats assumed our position as the holder of his RFA rights until they signed him a day or two later.

Sorry, but you are wrong on this. You are trading his RIGHTS. Its the same thing as if I drafted a player who then held out so I dealt him during training camp. I'm trading his rights, even if he isn't under contract.
That's the difference between RFA and UFA. UFA means unrestriced. The former team has no rights to the player.
RFA means the former team has rights...ie draft picks coming as compensation if they chose not to match an offer from another team.
I think your wrong. The reason Jason Campbell signed his RFA was because he wants Washington to trade him. He couldn't be traded until he signed it.
Same way Leon Washington was thought to be part of the Holmes deal the other day, but since he didn't sign his RFA (until today) he couldn't be traded earlier this week.
I am almost positive your wrong, but I'm not gonna fight you over this.

Lots of guys signed their RFA's today because they have no other option. If they didn't sign a deal with another team by today then they can't.
Most of the guys that signed today had no hope of another deal so they locked in the tender from their current team so they get paid if they get hurt and so they can attend OTA's.

What rumor was that?
The Jets put a first round tender on Leon. If they were willing to trade him for a guy they got for a 5th round pick why wouldn't they have put a 2nd round tender on him so someone might sign him?

You can't trade guys who haven't signed their RFA's. That's the rule. I don't have a link to an NFL rule book or anything. SO I can't link it. Listen to SIRIUS NFL Radio for a few hours, this topic seems to come up every few hours on that station. lol

This is eactly what happened in the Welker deal. Many are still angry about this deal, but they don't understand it. We really didn't have a choice. We made out pretty well, all things considered. He really wasn't worth a first-round tender.
