Funniest Dolphins moment

Dave Hyde is doing a contest for the funniest moment is all of sports in South Florida, and there are some good ones.

But I thought I'd ask: what's the funniest Dolphins moment?

Here a couple I personally love:

* "Ted Ginn is a Miami Dolphin. Ted Ginn and his family..."
* Wanny hangs lobster traps in the locker room to tell everyone that this is a "trap game"....except none of the players know what it is or what it means
* Alfred Ogelsby misses a team practice and tells coaches that he was abducted, taken to the everglades, and tied up. He was lying.
* Manny Fernandez (and others) put an alligator in Shula's shower.

What do you think? What are your faves?

Alligator in the shower is a classic story and should probably take the prize.

Here are some others :

Wahoo McDaniel yelling a Native American battle cry and throwing a knife into a hotel room doorframe during a pre-season when The Turk was coming around to announce roster cuts.

Zach Thomas telling the press (after we beat the crap out of the Patriots) that the only thing that would have made the win better would have been to drop-kick an extra point.

Bryan Cox flipping off Buffalo Fans

Marino's fake spike. That was both exciting AND VERY FUNNY to see the Jets' reaction to that.

Earl Morrall coming into the huddle after Griese broke his leg and saying "so guys, whaddya think?" (per Csonka interview)

I've also heard a story that the players convinced the equipment manager at the time to get on the roof with a garden hose to fool Shula into thinking it was raining, in order to skip an afternoon workout.

I'm sure there are many more!

"FUNNY" could be taken a lot of different ways.

Game vs the Bears in 1985 was damn funny from the Fins persepective. Watching Ditka meltdown during that game. Watching the old Fins stand on the sideline worrying about their record as the Bears self-destructed in front of their eyes! Watching Miami get every "BOUNCE" that night as balls got batted in the air and landed in the arms of wide open WR's who walked into the endzone! As a Fins fan I thought that night was hilarious.

From a PURE comedy aspect I go with Dan Marino acting in Ace Ventura movie. I mean Marino in a movie kidnapped by a guy who got a sex change. Laces Out. The whole thing.

Zonk and Kiick each getting 100 yards in a Giants game. Sometime in the 4th quater one of the defenders said, "Who are these guys anyway?" That hung the nick name of Butch and Sundance on them.

Oh speaking of Zonk and Kiick...that photoshoot when One of them flipped the bird while posing near a goalpost, and it slipped past the editors and got printed.
