86 ANTHONY FASANO FROM THIS TEAM IMMEDIATELY!

This guy is a total punk and scrub! He was clearly the one to blame for the loss in Atlanta (2 lost fumbles, including 1 in the red zone), and the guy cant catch a pass to save his life! I hope that this loser and Mr. Ginn don't get one ounce of sleep tonight for dropping those two crucial passes that 9/10 people on this forum would have caught!

Now Im not pointing fingers at anyone for this loss, because this was obviously a team effort let-down, but Christ Almighty, you HAVE TO MAKE THOSE CATCHES!!

What a sickening 2nd half performance.....angry smiley

P.S. - Fasano also coughed the ball up in a crucial play in the 2005 USC-Notre Dame "Bush Push" game

TUNA RELEASE THIS SCRUB ASAP!

I know your being sarcastic Aqua, but I wasn't blaming him OR Ginn for the loss against N.O., but real talk, this guy is a burden and we dont need boneheads like this bringing down our team by dropping Pop Warner-esque catches.

Fasano is having a horrible year. Other than that one good game, the whole preseason and regular season has crippled us. For a run-heavy team relying on the short passing game and having no decent wide outs, it's more important than ever to have a solid tight end. We don't, and you just can't sweep that kind of glaring hole under the rug. I don't care how many sacks Joey Porter gets, or how many yards Ronnie runs for, you just cannot win when you have no TE's and no WR's. It limits your game planning and it wastes down after down.

Fasano should not be on this team next year. Neither should Gibril Wilson. Wilson should be the first to go.

To be honest - I would start Haynos over Fasano ANY DAY.

I can't believe more people dont agree with me. I'm not saying Fasano is ALL of the reason for these 2nd Half/4th Qtr.collapses, but he is a percentage of the problem. I know we played ugly in Atlanta, but we EASILY could have won that game if it wern't for Fasanos 2 uncalled for fumbles. Week ater week he continues to drop very simple, bread and butter catches and its getting ridiculous. Ginn isn't much better, but at least he has contributed WAAAAAAAAY more then Fasano has.

But nonetheless, Im very disappointed in this team. We could/should be 4-2 right now, not 2-4. Sickening.....

Now that a couple of days have passed, I think a running team like the Dolphins needs a TE who is really a full back in disquise. Put it another way, we need a TE who also can legitimately play FB. This "player" would have to be TE size (6'2" 240 to 6'4" 255) agile, a good blocker, decent runner, able to catch balls 10-20 yards downfield with capability to overwhelm backs and safeties. If needed, this "player" could easily sub or switch with Lou Polite at FB. Does any player in the NFL come to mind? What about in the upcoming NFL draft? Is this the type of hybrid position an athlete like Tebow could fit?

I have been very surprised that Fasano is having the tough year that he is having. It is interesting that he didn't get signed to an extension during the off-season. Maybe the tri-fecta knew something was up, who knows... At this rate, he has probably played his way out of any big payday for his next contract.

I do want to see him on the team next year however. I do like the physical attitude he brings with him and seems like a very good blocker. I would be happy with him as a #2 TE. I just hope he works himself out of the funk and regains a bit of lat years form.

As for the Ronnie pass he dropped, it would have been a touch catch but I think there was really no excuse for not pulling it down.

I really think David Martin had a lot to do with Fasano's success last year. When we played 2 TE's, David had the speed garner more attention, hence Fasano getting open. When David wasn't in the game, the differences in the dynamics of both TE's probably kept the other team guessing a bit. Fasano isn't very fast, so he isn't as tough to cover as Martin was.

No doubt. I wonder what was really behind his injury this year and if they should have put him on PUP and given him a chance to come back

The TE position, regardless of who is there is key to the dolphin offense.

Fasano or somone in his position needs to step up and perform.

Martin would be nice, but is not an option.

I did not get to watch the game.

That was likely a blessing, because from what I read and heard, I saw every good play the dolphins did on the hi-light films of Ginn and JT.

However, I'll ask those who saw it, and may have noticed.
- How did J. Hanos block?
- We didn't get much run production, but not to say it is all on the TE. but the TE is important to both run and pass protection.

Hanos had a couple of nice catches one a 13 yards pass play that went for a first down and the other one a TD catch of about 8 yards. Other than that i do not remember seen him at all. Im going to see the replay on demand and try and see how he blocked.

I tell you this if can duplicate this performance in every game i will take it.

2 Catches and a td.....Thats all i need from haynos. And as little as it sounds its probably too much to ask.

hjear ya sam , got that from the stats too.

I was just saying and still wonder, how did he do on his blocking assignments?

To get much playing time, and to set up the pass receptions a TE needs to be an effective blocker too.

- Especially in our offensive scheme

Also;

Haynos - 6'8, 270 lb
Fasano - 6'4, 255 lb

I'll give Fasano some credit though this week though.....at least he didn't put the ball on the turf.....
