Ted Ginn is not the WR the Dolphins had hoped for when drafted by Cam Cameron. Even with the game lost he failed to grab that last ball thrown to him in the end zone. A quality receiver would have had that ball for a TD. We definitely need to acquire a #1 WR. The draft will not produce one, we need to buy one or trade picks for one.
Ginn sucks but Bess fumbled before half, Fasano should have caught the high one close to the end of the game.....and the freaking D......let me stop right there.........where's the freaking tums!
Aqua I sense sarcasm in the force. Droped pass for a first down on a crucial drive. Drop pass for a long completion possible TD. Another droped pass for a first down on a crucial drive.
He's incapable of catching the ball when covered. He just does not have the size or strength to use his body. He's a speed guy/deep threat, and that's all.
GINN LOSES EVERY GAME FOR US!! ITS HIS FAULT!! THEY SCORED 46 POINTS BECAUSE OF GINN!! THEY CAME BACK FROM 24-3 BECAUSE OF TED GINN! ITS ALL HIS FAULT!!!
We said at the beginning of the year we need Ted Ginn to have a breakout year. Well, I think it's official - he's not even close to one.
It's over, Ted. It's over. OK?
I never had much faith in him to begin with, but was willing to give him the benefit of a doubt. Maybe Pennington couldn't get him the ball. But now Chad Henne is in there. And Henne was right on target and Ted just can't catch the ball when he's got a little coverage. And to make matters worse, he batted it back to 2 defenders for the INT. Then again in the EZ, the ball hit him in the face. You can't say the ball is not on target when it hits you in the face. Ted Ginn is officially out of excuses in my book. I'm over him.
Aqua and orange, I respect alot of the things you say and beleive you have high football knowledge but i personally think your are wrong about ginn
He cant catch!!!
he doesnt come up big in big situations
he doesnt block, he is just a speedster
he reminds me of one of those guys who has a ton of speed and nothin else and should be drafted in the 4th round but we unfortuantly spent a 1st rd pick on him
whats the difference between him and a mike wallace from steelers?
seriously?
Nothing! both are just speedsters, you dont see ginn making more plays than this wallace project the steelers drafted
Harvin from the vikings, Fast? yes! but he makes plays, comes up big
Jackson from philli...Fast? Yes! but he makes plays to unlike ginn
he's just one of those guys who just doesnt want to get hit, block, go over the middle or get dirty cuz he thinks he can just use his SPEED, sorry not in this league
The next question though is, can we trade him? To where? Most teams won't want him the way he is playing. But maybe Cam would take him. He could be an extra guy on a team loaded with clutch receivers, a guy to run down the sideline and do nothing else.
We need Ted Ginn to play better, to make his stock rise a little so that it becomes possible to trade him for something other than a 5th round pick.
Two weeks ago he had trade value after this week i don't think he has any. I can understand the defense of a player by Aqua I for one don't like to condem players who make a mistake like some people do. Some fans get so erratic when a player makes a mistake they are ready to fire the cheerleaders after a loss. I don't annoint players after a draft and I don't hate them afte a bad week but at some point logic has to come into play. Three yrs and no production and he continues to drop easy passes on crucial plays just makes him more and more of a target every week.
Ginn is crap and he will always be crap there is huge difference between mistakes by a player who is developing and just flat out bad player. Ginn is garbage.
People need to give up on the idea that Ginn is going to be a #1 WR in the mode of Andre Johnson, Larry Fitzgerald, Calvin Johnson, etc. He's not. And he's never going to be. He doesn't not have the size, strength, or desire to be a physical guy who will fight for the ball when he's covered. He's a deep threat, plain and simple. It's not his fault we drafted a one dimensional WR at the #9 overall spot. That raised expectations for him. But, he's ours now, so we have to learn how to make the most of his abilities. If we had a true #1 WR, someone who could draw double coverage, and usually have the opponent's best corner matched up with him, Ginn would benefit dramatically. The problem we have is that all of our receivers have below average speed. Teams don't worry about those guys beating them deep at all. So, Ginn gets all the attention deep downfield. We need someone else to take the heat off him.
