ok i admit that ronnie is doing great and off to a great start, but not enough is being said about ricky. If he ran the wc or got the carries that ronnie is getting his yardage would be much better. He is just faster, stronger and much more punishing than ronnie. The hurdle play for instance, ronnie would not have done that, ricky puts his head down and makes you pay for tackling him. He, atleast to me seems to be running better than ever before, i seriously mean that. So my hat is off to ricky, and run ricky run!

Ricky DID run the WC a few times on Monday and didn't do anywhere near as well as Ronnie. At this point in his career, Ricky is better in the open field or with a lead blocker. He doesn't do well running the offense.

This is why they are such a great tandem.

Ronnie manages the wildcat much better ... Ricky is a force to be dealtwith and not easy to bring down when given the handoff and direction change already flowing towards Ronnie.

Ricky & Ronnie together are greater than the sum of the parts and a reason miami is committed to the W/C.

Beyond the wildcat, they are a headache for defenses in general.

Ricky is well appreciated inside that locker room!

Ricky has had far fewer reps running the Wildcat. Ronnie had his share of 'less than impressive' runs last year. Now he sees and reads faster...and therefore can make quick decisions that allows max yardage.

Ricky had a couple, but his first was the worst and he got better.

I agree with fiedlerhater....Ricky is a better runner. Inside or out. But Ronnie is very good.

unfortunately Ricky has lost that 5th gear, he is still faster than most...but...4 years ago..once through the middle level he was gone. Also Ricky can't do what he does 25 times a game.

So...we have a GREAT 1-2 punch. Ronnie is the quick powerful jab, Ricky is the the punishing power punch, uppercut, roundhouse.

You need both to dominate the way we do.

Good discussion Realist.

I would add that Ronnie seems to be able to pick the holes and run the middle a bit better.

Ricky on the outside is like a steam roller (especially to smaller dbs) and seems to rack up big gainers.

As stated ... nice combo ... nice headache to keep fefense thinking about as henning begins to expand the passing potential with henne.

Does anyone remember last year when they were aiming high, trying to get 1,000 yards each?

While I don't see 1,000 yards each happening this year, I will say that they've been making good on their goal of establishing themselves as the most successful running back tandem in the NFL thus far.

Miami Dolphins....#1 rushing team in the NFL!!

We are statistically on a pace thus far of both of them going over 1000.

RB to date 443 / 5 = 88.6 per game projects to 1416 over 16 games
RW to date 316 / 5 = 63.2 per game projects to 1011 over 16 games

These figures are rushing only & do not include pass reception yards.

151 combined per game projects to 2428 together thumbs up

I dont know about ricky been better than ronnie...Ronnie is a load as well and punishes the defender...

But after all these years ricky still has it am telling you.

To me they are equally good and i wouldnt trade them for anybody.

I remember when Ricky was talking about coming back, I was one that wanted nothing to do with him. I also remember saying that men reach their prime at around 30 to 32 years old. Many here thought he was to old.
Well Ricky did drop the weed and get himself back in great shape. The years off helped him I believe.

I congratulate him for coming back. Good for him and no doubt good for us. He is really a special running back, and now person.

I always like Ricky. Besides being a great player, he is truly unique and actually quite deep. Can you blame him for wanting to smoke weed and not play for Wannstedt?

Correct me if Im wrong but I'm pretty sure he already signed and extention. As I recall he and Parcell's worked it out without and agent involved.

Ricky is a decent receiver too and there is room for him to catch and run in play action and wildcat formations. We may see more of this in the weeks ahead. The more he can do, the more valuable he is and defensive coordinators have to take that into account. That means more focus on him.
Don't you love it. Run Ricky Run.
