i'm almost in tears. what an amazing game. The adversity they overcame and the creativity to do this right. winning breeds confidence and confidence breeds winning. They remain confident they can be a special team again.

Agreed--I think the offensive coaches deserve a lot of credit--pulled out all the stops, ballsy calls at the end!!

The various formations thrown at the Jets disabled their esteemed defense; it kept the defenders momentarily on their heels. The Wildcat was executed very well from my perspective, even the few plays involving Pat White worked. The tandem of Brown and Williams is what propels the wildcat offense and makes it special. No other tandem in NFL football equals their talent at this time. Kudos to the playmakers and the players who ran it so flawlessly last night. A great, exciting Monday Night game! One of the best games in many years, in my opinion. A two thumbs up. thumbs up thumbs up

I had an idea last night. Ironically, watching Rex Ryan get beaten by it last night made me realize how much we may in fact owe him. If the ravens had not shut it down and if other teams had not been relatively succesful at planning for it, Henning, Lee and Sparano would not have had excellent film to study in order to adapt the offensive alignment. It is true that the talent difference both between our OL this season and Ravens v. Jets is a big factor, but Ryan is a very creative defensive coach and it is highly possible that if he hadn't crushed the WC last season we would not have had as much insight into its potential limitations in last year's form. So as much as other teams were able to prepare to defend it throughout the offseason studying film, we (and for that matter any other team that wishes to employ it) were able to adjust it and adapt it in preparation as well. Ryan's succes last year provided us with some of our best film.

This is precisely why it is NOT a gimmick but a legitimate alignment. A gimmick has few wrinkles and is primarily meant to catch other teams off guard precisely because it cannot be used with too much regularity. An alignment is something you work out of and tweak in anticipation of defenses (who anticipate back in the never ending cycle of of the awesome game of football).

Just a reflection.

What a great week to be a bye week and let it sink in.

Calvin Pace and Ryan, and the rest have a full week of answering questions in a way that will only embarrass them selves further.

Yes we did run it down their throats and its a foul tasting crow.

Sit back and enjoy ... love to see them diggin the hole deeper for beat down # two coming in a couple of weeks in new york
