This is not good news...ESPN is reporting:

The Cleveland Browns have agreed to trade Braylon Edwards to the New York Jets on Wednesday morning, a league source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.

The Jets agreed to send key special teams player Jason Trusnik and draft picks to Cleveland, Schefter reported. Terms of the deal were still being finalized early Wednesday.

The Jets are doing what the Browns did to get Quinn. Sell sell sell to win now. He really won't be much of a factor this week I don't think maybe in the second game. What we are doing is far better, build from the ground up slowly but sound.

We all now how well it turned out for the Browns.

I am reminded of how fortunate we are to have drafted the right player at the top of the 2005 draft. Of those that were consensus top 5, RB is the only one who has really panned out (though injuries haven't been kind to him). Of the entire 1st round, only DeMarcus Ware and Aaron Rodgers (though I wouldn't have said it prior to last year) might have been better options.

sounds like they gave up a special teamer, chansy stucky, and 2 draft picks (not sure which ones). A good deal for Jets unless the picks were high.

I don't like Edwards but I would have done a deal for him in exchange for Ginn and a 3d rounder. Would you?

I still don't understand why people think Ginn has ANY trade value...

Jets STOLE Edwards.

And with no salary cap next year having to pay him means nothing.

Steal? If by steal you mean got raped! Essentially they traded 4 players for 1 above average WR? That move reminded me of the old Wan-Stache days of trading a 2nd rounder for Aj Feeley , or that horrible trade of the 2nd round pick for the Rb outta St. Louis that got hurt 2 weeks in (for the life of me cant remember his name). They over paid alot i think, just because there 3-1 there front office cant think there Super bowl bound, if anything there bound for the toilet bowl.... J E T S SUCK SUCK SUCK!

Lamar Gordon, we got him for a 3d--second worst trade in history after the feely for a 2d deal, ogunleye for marty booker and a 3d was no great shakes either! (wanny and speilman sucked!!!)

Braylon Edwards stats this year are eerily close to Ted Ginn jr.

Of, course Ted Ginn doesn't have the problematic character baggage that follows Edwards.

I'm sure that Cleveland is very happy with that trade.

i also think the Browns got the better of this trade. 2 undisclosed picks, reportedly in the 3rd (conditional) and 5th round, along with WR Stuckey and LB Trusnik is a big price to pay. Edwards is a good wr, but has a tendency to be a cancer. With a rookie qb i expect there to be a number of interceptions, and a disgruntled wide receiver group. For an example look at Terrell Owens...

Jets are going all in this year ... betting on a playoff this year.

If the FINS beat them this weekend, this move may look sour by years end. If they win against the FINS they will be well on their way to having removed all but the PATS from contention in the AFC East.

This game is huge for both teams and if we got the goods to win it, will be our turning point of the year.

GO Fins !!!!
