Truthfully, Miami got Ramsey on the cheap....a 3rd round pick and TE Long. The only negative is Ramsey's contract...big money. But....if he plays up to his Pro Bowl self, he is worth the money. Maybe now X can get back to his All Pro game. Fangio gonna have fun coming up with plays?
Saying all that, Ramsey, too often, gets burned. Can Fangio fix that?
Anyway, here's hoping Ramsey will be the player Miami hopes he can be.
I think I'd have to go back to about the 2002 roster to find one that had as much starting talent as this one. I think in '02 the elite talent was more experienced and proven...but also older. The OL then was probably better across the board with no real weak spots, but healthy Tua is far better than Fiedler.
So relatively recent that for years our best couple players might make the pro bowl...but none were even close to the best in the league at their position.
Weak links can wreak havoc on a season, but not having elite players (especially at critical positions) can nearly guarantee you don't have a chance to win the big one.
captkoi, sure he could fix it- by NOT putting him on the other team's best receiver every week. But, that's his job and he's damn good at it. I also hope that he has a great year!
This should make other players like Chubb and Van Ginkel will be free to focus on the run and the middle. With players like Ogbah healthy and Wilkins......I almost feel bad for Buffalo fans.
Like the Ramsey, Long and Elliott acquisitions. Sad it looks like Van Ginkel will move on, thought he played decent
If we get Brandon Jones, Trill Williams , Nik Needham back healthy that will be a solid secondary with X, Ramsey Kahou, McKinley. Would love to Add JL Skinner he's a Kam Chancellor like hammer but with Elliot acquisition Safety may not be a priority
