Offense by committee ?

The Dolphins (Brian Flores) apparently doesn't believe that having 2-3 of his assistants working to assess and call plays during the game is a problem.

I find this to be imprudent. It's not working. There is no offensive identity. Coach you are WRONG! Select the best guy and let him own it.

VR,
Colonel

Flores support of this system reminds me of the meme that has a dog sitting in a burning room saying "This is fine"

The best coordinators available already have jobs and are under contract. That's the trouble with firing your HC every 3 - 3 1/2 years, the established, proven guys don't want to come here. Gruden didn't want to come here, neither did Harbaugh. Even Jeff Fisher turned us down. Miami is getting the reputation of being the place where coaching careers go to die.
All we are ever going to attract are the rookies that want their shot and the "HC" on their resume. Guys like Philbin and Gase. It's hit or miss and, usually miss because those rookie types don't have the star power to attract the best possible coordinators, those guys already have a job and are under contract.
We just have to recognize that rookie HCs are going to need time to develop and have growing pains along the way. Flores has shown enough to be given a couple more years and above all, let him pick his own QB.

I definitely like Flores. But something is up on the offensive side of the ball. The plays being called, the dropped balls, the penalties, the lack of follow through.... all lead to the coaching side of it. As soon as that safety screen pass was thrown that coach should have been demoted or excused. IMEADIATELY. No one would have said anything other then....what did you expect? There doesn't seem to be any urgency. Grant was given way too many chances before finally being traded.

GO DOLPHINS!!!!

How come we fans have such good common sense in contrast to the coaching staff? No genius coach was needed to foresee the stupidity of that screen pass in the end zone...yet they tried to pull it off!
