Could Notre Dame LB Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah( JOK) be Dolphins' #18 pick?
Date: April 09, 2021 10:41AM

Many Draft analysts say Miami's greatest need is a linebacker/ Defensive end/ slot corner.

This guy can do it all. If the Dolphins draft Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah of Notre Dame with the 18th overall pick, they'd be adding an outside linebacker, inside linebacker, slot corner and box safety.

Yes, the team drafting Owusu-Koramoah could fill any or all of those roles with one player, in any game. The man they call "JOK" is the ultimate weapon.

a
An incredible athlete, one of the most intriguing and explosive in the draft.

A Player like this at 18 makes sense if available. Hit Offensive line and RB in the second round.

If the dolphins draft a defensive player in the first round they are nuts.

Why?

Because scoring points is all that matters? You do realize there is another whole side to this game right?

Can't post links here, do a simple Google search for Miami Dolphins draft needs 2021:

Wide receiver, offensive line, running back, edge rusher, in no particular order.

If We can get Top tier talent at two positions of need we can address the other two in rounds 2-3.

Explain why picking such a dynamic player is nuts.

Because our defense other than that last game against buffalo was very good.

And our receivers and rbs were one of the worst in the league.

No receiver or rb home run hitter at all.

Pay attention and then maybe you will learn something.

Fair enough. You like to only see one side of the ball but thats your ignorance not mine. Only that game against Buffalo? What happens when we make the playoffs? Then you really see it exposed. Are you been paying attention? Miami addressed Receiver and Oline in Free agency. We have players coming back from Covid and injuries on receiver. Our greatest position of need is on defense because we let Kyle Van Noy go.

That said...Because this is such a strong receiver draft I'm down for picking a special talent like PITTS. Now at 18 I'm also for picking Harris but the argument is we would be over valuing a RB at # 18 in the the first round. Plenty of other good RB's available in the second and 3rd.

A multi dimensional defender like JOK would be a killer additional playmaker on defense .

Try stop being so ignorant Sam. All you want to see is 50 yd bombs and 48 point games. NFL football doesn't work like that. You have to play different teams everyweek, in the playoffs. You need players who can adapt to different situations score on DEFENSE . Howard cant do it all. The Jets are looking to score a QB Stud. We will have our hands full on defense as well.

Its not about been ignorant. Its about upgrading the weakest part of our team first.

And thats receiver and rb...you know it.

We can upgrade the defense in the 3rd round and so fourth.

1A. Receiver
1B. RB
2A. OL
2B.OL
3A.LB
4A.CB

Many have our greatest need at LB.DE.

We added depth at wide receiver and RB in free agency. Not saying we shouldnt address it with #6 over all...the talent is pretty sick this draft .Its deep. A playmaker at#6 would help TUA.

But if an equally good defensive player is available at 18.....you grab him.

The more I see of this guy the more I like him.......

Miami Dolphins #18 overall- Jeremiah Owusu-Moramoah, LB, Notre Dame
Edge or running back could be the move here. But, Owusu-Moramoah has coverage skills the Dolphins should love to add to the defense. After years of being beaten up by tight ends, the Dolphins could end that with this pick, selecting a linebacker who has experience as a nickel cornerback. He still has some development to do, but Miami rounds out their linebacker corps with this selection.

Oh yes the LB and De position were even worst than the rb and receiver position last year.

Thats why we were considered one of the best defenses in the league by some experts at some point last year.

Most improved maybe.....you don't have one of the best defenses in the league and then don't even make the playoffs.

Care to share who said that?

We didnt make playoffs because we struggled on offense. Smart guy. When the offense played well the defense dominated and some commentators even said this was one of the best defenses is the nfl. But you so smart you cant even see that.

Think we have to go Pitts, or Waddle, or Toney

If Pitts and Chase gone get on the Phone with Lions , Panthers and Broncos for Qb. Take Waddle, Toney

RB maybe after dropping down a few from 18

We have to land Harris Etienne or Williams
Steelers and Bills are risky. Nobody expected the Chiefs to take Edwards Helaire last year

maybe with Titans or Jets at 22 or 23? My pick is Williams I think he will have tge best career. Pick up an extra third

Take Joe Tryon at 36 , Creed Humphrey, Quinn Meinerz or Dillon Radunz at 50

third take a few of

Amon ra st Brown, Dyami Brown Anthony Schwartz WR

Andte Cisco Rchie Grant Jevin Holland, Hufanga, Sterns or Hamsah Nasirildeen S

Baron Browning Pete Werner Quincy Roche LB

The difference between you and me Sam is I dont believe we are doomed if we dont get any one single player. I believe we are doomed if we dont get LOTS of players. I'd Love PITTS. BUT Chase would be awesome too. Chase gone? Smith might be tiny but his upside is pretty amazing.......Hes gone too? OK I'll take Sewell. Our Team would be instantly better with any of 'em. Your right though anything can happen. You think the Jets take Justin Fields? Thats interesting because I believe that too. So Many have the Jets taking Zack Wilson or Mac Jones going ahead of him. I think hes gone to the Jets at #2.

Tell you what if 4 QB's go in the Top 5 , I hope Cincy takes Burrows boy Chase or Sewell to protect him. But we really cant go wrong. Very talented draft this year.

The key spots are 3 and 5

It seems like 1-3 are set Lawrence, Wilson and Jones but things can change

Does Atl take a qb, trade out, or take Pitts? We likely won't know until draft day

Does Cincy take Sewell or Chase ? They signed Reiff so I think it may be Chase or Pitts if avail.

At 18 I am trading down a few picks . Steelers likely to take an RB .

Hoping Jevonte Williams is the guy, I think he is the most versatile and will have the best career

Go DL and OL in the second

Joe Tryon Carlos Basham Creed Humphrey, Landon Dickerson, Dillon Radunz, Quinn Meinerz Liam Eichenberg Wyatt Davis, Sam Cosmi, Tevin Jenkins , Jackson Carman

With an extra third from dropping down, 2 of

S -Richie Grant, Elijah Molden Jamar Johnson Andre Cisco, Talanoa Hufanga, Jevon Holland Caden Stearns

WR- mon ra St Brown Dyami Brown , Terrace Marshall, Rondale Moore, Anthony Schwartz , Seth Williams

Continuing to read some great stuff about this kid:

- Owusu-Koramoah starred as an athletic hybrid defender for the Fighting Irish. He can play Will linebacker, safety or even cover in the slot. He’s very fluid and twitchy to mirror tight ends, backs or slot receivers. He’s very aware as a zone dropper and he’s an explosive blitzer off the edge. He is quick to key/read before dipping under blocks on the front side against the run. He flashes the ability to use his length to punch off blockers, but he is much more effective beating them to spots. He has big-time speed to chase from the back side. He needs to improve his consistency as a tackler in space, though, as he has too many fly-by misses. He brings outstanding leadership to the defense. Overall, Owusu-Koramoah might lack ideal size/bulk, but he’s built for a pass-happy NFL.

his athletic traits, versatility and playmaking demeanor give JOK a chance to become the most impactful defender in this draft.

Interesting.........

NFL Insider Reveals Why Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah Is Falling In Draft:

"Earlier today, NFL insider Benjamin Allbright called Owusu-Koramoah the “most shocking player” still available in this year’s draft.

Despite all his accomplishments at the collegiate level, there are multiple reasons why Owusu-Koramoah is still on the board. According to ESPN draft analyst Matt Miller, some scouts are unsure where Owusu-Koramoah would fit in certain systems due to his frame."

Basically his size. I remember them saying the exact same thing about another smaller Linebacker taken in the 5th round because of his size......... Zack Thomas.
