At some point we're going to need a QB. Fitz is 38.

I understand the hesitation. First watch the college championship game before deciding. When will we have a #3 pick again

We have to put talent around Tua, without a dynamic receiver group we wont get over the hump. Todays loss to Buffalo showcased it perfectly.

RE: We should absolutely draft a QB this year just not a high pick. We should draft a QB somewhere in every draft until we have a solid group from top to bottom.

TCPF that should be our direction

Sewell and Etienne or Harris should be our priority in the first unIess we feel Jevonte Williams is as good, as I would not risk Etienne or Harris being there in the second

Look at Kadarious Toney and Marquez Stevenson's tape, even Rashod Bateman, should be there in the second

I'm more concerned with the 56 points our " elite" defense dropped.....

Let me give an example. ROWE is a decent CB. Hes athletic and made some great plays for us. But he gets raped by bigger tightens and recievers. We need to scrutinize game tape. We had no pre season, we have a ton of new players.

Identify weaknesses like Rowes and improve on it.

We had zero tape on TUA in the NFL. Evaluate him. Don't just pick the #1 reciever in the draft. pick the player that compliments him .Completing for a lefty is tougher then you think.

Totally agree with scrutinizing the tape and truly trust this staff to do that. Would be so interesting to be privy to the inner workings of their postmortem each season and how that shapes the decisions they make with the current roster, trades, FA & the draft.

To me that's how the better teams seem to always stay in the top ten. Great drafts. And great drafts are not just picking the top players on paper. You pick guys that fit your team, scheme.

Belichik seemed to be really good at it. Always getting another playmaker. I think its rubbed off on Flores some.thumbs up

GO DOLPHINS!!!!

Oh yeah tcpf...pickem for the trenches.

You have infatuation for the trenches.

Youll let a 6'6 300 pounder play wr if you had your say in this.

Thank the lord you don't.

How is picking a top wide receiver going to fix a 56 yd melt down on defense?

How will it help TUA getting sacked 3x a game on average?

Not going to call you any names but you never have any answers just demands.

GO DOLPHINS!!!!

A couple of superstars wrs and top notch rb will make sure the offense is on field more. Defense doesnt get tired and doesnt have so many 3 and outs .

Defenses get tired....

The oline is in place just needs to get stronger. We like to think we have our qb of future. Give him some first round weapons and he will flourish.

And no i dont want any 2nd tier receivers or rbs like gaskins. Gadskins is not a gamechanger thats why he was picked in the lowerrounds.

We need sure cant miss receivers and rbs.

Unless you want to get lucky in the lower rounds and wait 6 or 7 years to get lucky in the lower rounds.

The time is now.

Tua cant wait till we get lucky.

We need first round talent right now.receiver and rb.

I agree with the 1st two points and am unsure about the 3rd regarding the OL.

I'll have to admit that I don't pay any attention to college prospects until the NFL season is over, so I'm currently pretty uninformed there. I've heard that Lawrence and Sewell are both reputed to be generational talents at their respective positions. Though I don't hear "generational talent" for Devonta Smith, I do hear comparisons to HoF Marvin Harrison & "next great Alabama receiver", so certainly still ringing endorsements.

I always favor swinging for the fences when in the draft's top 10, so if Sewell is in the Orlando Pace, Walter Jones, Tony Ogden stratosphere, I probably lean in that direction with the #3 pick, assuming we keep it.

That's not to say that I am in favor of leaving the WR and RB positions relatively unaddressed. I think the early indications from last year show a couple of things:
1. a relative abundance of top-shelf talent at a position pushes the group down the board a bit. Ruggs & Jeudy were the 1st 2 to be drafted at 12 & 15, but I'm guessing the Raiders & Broncos would have rather ended up with Jefferson &/or Lamb, at least after 1 year's performance.
2. game-changing veteran WRs can be had via trade. The top 2 WR in terms of catches and yards (Diggs & Hopkins) were both acquired via trade in 2020.
Especially in the case of Josh Allen, I think the Diggs acquisition was a huge part of his game going to the next level. He didn't have to wait for Diggs to acclimate to the NFL...and in fact Diggs' presence seemingly lifted the entire WR corps, allowing each to play more comfortably within their role in the group.

I would definitely like to see us get an RB early in the draft (perhaps 18 or our 1st pick in the 2nd round).

We cant go wrong if we pick the alabama wr with the 3rd pick and derrick henrys clone with the 18th pick...or ettiene. Two instant starters on this offense.

I have stayed off the message board this year, but did read what was posted.

I believe we take Sewell with the 3rd pick assuming someone does not make us an offer we can't refuse. The kid can play (he got a second place vote in the Heisman vote last year) and will make our offense better. We can pick up a WR and RB with 2 of the next three picks (the WR for Alabama that got hurt Waddle and was out for the year was playing ahead of the Heisman winner all year until his injury and RB Harris would be good picks with the later picks)

FSU DT Marvin Wilson should also be considered in the second round.

If we go with someone besides Sewell then at #18 take C Creed Humphrey, he is a beast

Although it may not be glamorous, reality is championship teams start in the trenches

Solid D and O lines make all better and we are a few pieces away

If sewell is gone I would consider the best offer for 3 for Fields and drop down a little and get multiple firsts and seconds We could come out of the first 2 rounds with the following and a future first

2 of

Devonta Smith or Jaylen Waddle

Najee Harris or Travis Etienne

2nd

Landon Dickerson, Liam eichenberg Trey Smith or Alijah vera Tucker

Best avail safety Holland, Cisco, Ford
Nasrildeen

Chazz Suratt, Zaven Collins

Can double up on WR in third

Kedarious Toney, Marquez Stevenson
