Please point out the insults in the post you quoted and it's not an insult to disagree with you. What an ego!

Beyond Burrows...there is no starting QB in the first round. They are all projects. Build the trenches and get a great RB in the early rounds.
The "best" project IMO that costs the least is further down the board. He has the quickest release of all these QB's in the draft and can make something out of nothing...which is part of the "it" factor. How was Brady so successful getting 1st downs against good opposing defenses? Quick slants that moved the chains that's how.
Everybody here who wants to use a first round pick on a QB should start by re-watching the senior bowl. Draft Gurus & sports media get it wrong way more often then they get it right.
And when your done watching it...you'll know they didn't get the MVP right by a long shot.

Chyene says:

But pardon me if I don't consider you an expert.
If fact, I don't even consider you to be
objective.
*******************************

Just for shits and grins though......

You had Tyree Jackson QB going in the first round. I believe he went UNDRAFTED.

I said Ryan Tanehill was a star if he just got some help.
He was elected to the PROBOWL, the Best QB rating in the NFL, and given one of the most lucrative contracts in the NFL after making it to the AFC Championship.

Just sayin. drinking smiley

Again. No insults. Just factual information. thumbs up

GO DOLPHINS!!!!

I said Tanny was not suited to be a pocket QB. Do you know the difference????

I really don't think you do.

Waiting for an answer on Tanny being a pocket QB which is NOT how the Titans are using him.

That's a football question.

The answer is that like the 67 Dolphins you build the whole team STARTING with the QB.

And who would guesd that that new franchise team would in 6 years become the only undefeated team in NFL history.

During the 73 season, the perfect season , Greise didnt even play half the season. But they won because they had a great TEAM. Running game, defense.

Just sayin .

Yeah, they had a great team but the point IS they started building that team in 1967 WHEN THEY HAD NOTHING....by drafting their franchise quarterback (Bob Griese) FIRST, FIRST, FIRST, FIRST.

I bet you a lot of the other posters got this point from the beginning. But except for SamSam, they are just scared to confront you.

Oh but your the brave one? Everyone else here is a pussy? Stop it.Everyone else backs thier opinions with facts. All you give is Tyree Jackson. Lol.

Such Narcissism. You can have the last word. Its important to you.

Good points Sam . Will have to agree to disagree.

Did I hear an answer to the fact that the Miami Dolphins led to their perfect season franchise by drafting Bob Griese first????

Oh, the fact that Griese was out for much of the perfect season.

I remember. I also told all of my friends that I believed it was a mistake to let him start in the SuperBowl when he had not played the whole season. (BTW, that wasn't Griese's 1st or second season but was 1972 or 73).

but he won it anyway.

But you don't believe in drafting Quarterbacks first. You believe that you should draft EVERY OTHER POSITION AND WHEN YOU HAVE GOT THE PERFECT TEAM EXCEPT FOR QUARTERBACK....THEN DRAFT A QUARTERBACK AND GIVE HIM THE REINS.

That's ass backwards.

What we are losing out on is...the very real possibility that we miss out on all of the top prospects by staying at 5 and certainly will by trading down.

Love, Hurts, Fromm and the rest are projects with serious holes in their games...at the moment.

Waiting until 2021 is also not a viable option because we won’t be bad enough to get the #1 pick next year. That puts us right where we are this year or in all likelihood worse in the race for a high pick for a QB.

SO you are actually saying trade UP, Ken?

Over the years I've made many draft suggestions, Trasher. You're gonna cherry pick one?

Listen to Ken if your ego won't let you agree with me.

Definitely dont have a perfect answer.
And I have been considering everything you said exactly and that's why I think we stay and grab TUA , or move up for Burrows. Those are the two options that make the most sense. Or draft down and grab a project QB with the next pick.

GO DOLPHINS!!!!

NO. You've always said that we should trade the pick for a lower 1st round pick AND THERE PICK A LINEMAN and get additional 5th and lower round picks.

You've also said that we should see if a top quarterback has dropped down to the bottom of the 1st round or can be picked up in the 6th or later rounds.

You keep bringing up Tom Brady

NO? Lol.

Read. Watch video. Educate yourself. Changed opinions on an educated thought process is what makes this whole draft process so interesting.

And it will help prevent picks like Tyree Jackson going #1 in the draft only to be undrafted . grinning smileydrinking smiley

Nope. Would that make you happy? Is that why you hated Tannehill for so many yrs? So you could win an Opinion?

Lol. No. I read. I watch, I go to games and Practices. I educate myself My only purpose is not to win an argument. I couldn't give a flying F what you think. It's to do what's best for the Miami Dolphins. To win games Period. Its why I'm here. I think you need to really ask yourself why you are here.

Trade down. No QBs are worth it in the Top 5 except Burrows and a leap of faith on TUA. Either trade up for Burrows, take TUA at #5 or Trade down. The best option for this team is option #3.

Not for me, couldn't give a F about you.
For THE DOLPHINS.We have so many holes and these QBs are just not worthy of out ULTRA valuable #5.

GO DOLPHINS!!!!

Sam...no one on this board ever said to trade back to get more picks in the 6th or 7th round.

Throw your argument(s) out there, but have facts that can back up what you say.

Chyren. From what I have seen and heard about Tannehill, he has played well from both the pocket and on the run. If you think, from watching the games, that RT is a better passer on the run, that is your opinion. I could not find stats to tell me where he was better, pocket or on the run.

If you can find stats. please bring them forward.

You are correct, Sam; TC and many others (including myself) have said to trade back and get more picks. However, no one has said trade back from the first or second round so Miami could get more picks in the sixth or seventh round.

Yes, he has OFTEN said trade back from our TOP first round pick in exchange for.a lower first round pick plus later round picks.

I'm a prosecutor. I refuse to let him slide.

Thanks Cap. Everyone here gets it and knows what we mean. Somewhere are just interested in winning some silly trial going on in thier lonely minds/existence.

Dropping back from #5 to just #6 with the Chargers still gets us a valuable player and probably gets another 2nd.

A team like the colts without a first rounder has the second pick in the 2nd round. A trade with them (unlikely)but could score us that high 2nd next yrs #1 , and a host of others. That's how you pick a championship team.not picking projects for the hell of it.

But I guess every rookie is a project when he starts. Babe Ruth, Lew Alcindor, Muhammad Ali. Don't "pick em," TC says, trade back for lower round picks.

And Cap, all you need to do is compare Tanny's stats HERE with his at Tennessee. He was used exclusively in the pocket HERE.

Do you disagree?
