I forgot to say rivers is a stationary qb like the wet firecracker that needs to have everything go perfectly in order to win.

Dont make a thing happen with his feet..He a scrub.

We need to draft someone like tua with the accuracy of tua..

No tua though.

we need to get lucky and get someone with the 3rd 1st round pick like russel wilson.

If we dont get lucky this year then try next year again until we finnaly hiton someone.

Had we done that the last 10 years we would of hit on someone...

But we keep drafting dends corners Wet firecracker tannehill made up qb receiver rbs OLInemen in the first round....And this is where we are today.....Without a franchise qb.

Until we get that franchise qb we going to keep been the laughing stock of the nfl like we were with tannehill.

185 rushing Yds in 2019 and averaged 4.3 yds per carry.

He was in the Top 3 mobile QBs and made the Probowl.

By the more you call him out the more ignorant you look Sam. Doesnt bother me in the least. Just makes you look stupid. Whatever.

GO DOLPHINS!!!!

Lots of wants there. Got to throw like Marino, run like the wind. Cool.

So who do we pick? Can you name 1 person? Or do you just want a fantasy QB that doesnt really exist?

GO DOLPHINS!!!!

I don't get the love affair with some QB'S BY THE media.

Lets break down the numbers of the last 3 Oklahoma QB's:

Mayfield 285 for 407 70.5% 4627 yds 43td/6int 198.9 rating 311 rush yds

Murray 260 for 377 69% 4361 yds 42td/7int 199.2 rating 1001 rush yds

Hurts 237 for 340 69.7% 3851 yds 32td/8int 191.2 rating 1298 rush yds

The numbers are basically quite similar but two were considered the next best QB and one is an afterthought. I don't get it. Heck, Mayfield had at least 4 OL that are playing in the NFL right now. I am not saying go out and pick Hurts but just wondering why no love for him.

I agree w/ you 100% on Hurts Astro. I noticed at the senior bowl he connected on 2 very good throws the commentators were silent. Some of the other guys they just could not stop raving about. One comment was 'yeah he completed almost 70% of his passes but he still needs to improve his accuracy. WtH!!

As I posted before Hurts leading 2 different teams to the college playoffs is something no other college qb has ever done. Coming off the bench to replace Tua in the SEC championship in 2018(?) was a very impressive. Guy is confident and a great leader.

Right now Herbert is the qb I would pick at #5 but i would not mind if we used our 1st rnd picks to fill other positions and grab Hurts w/ out first #2.

One player I would like to see the Dolphins trade for is Pat Elflein C for the Vikings. Trade Harris heads up for him. Both of these guys have not panned out and a change of scenery might do well for them. I liked Elflein in when he came out of college.

Would not hurt.

I would love to see a Harris for Elflein trade straight up.

Also read an article about players that need a change of scenery, of those I would like us to target:

Zach Fulton (G) Houston

Eric Ebron (TE) Indy

Graham Glasgow (T) Detroit

All good players, not sure if they are free agents or under contract.

With you there is nothing else. All of a sudden your I terested in other positions? Well good actually. I guess even though you wont admit it , I got you to realize there is more to winning football then just a stud QB.

There is actually an article entitled "Miami Dolphins need offensive line before a quarterback" on the phinsider.

I think our issue as Dolphin fans is we had the only QB who could just beat you with his incredible skills. He didn't need a OL because of his release and vision. He damn sure could not run.No he didn't win the big one, but that was the rest of the TEAMS fault. We try to compare every QB to him or what is working in the league at the moment. The only constant in the league is that a great OL will consistantly get you to the playoffs.

Right Astro, I think we should use at least our first 2 #1 picks on other positions besides QB. Get the QB with the 3rd 1st or our 2A pick. Hurts, Fromm or Eason behind an high quality Oline can work for us.

Does anyone else feel like trading up for an injury prone player is a little like jumping in front of a person to by a quick pick lottery ticket?

If they even consider trading up for injured player i would lose my faith in flores.

With the combine coming up I'm sure there will be some risers in the QB class. Fromm will wow people with his smarts and Eason his arm.

My hope is teams try to jockey their way in front of us for a QB and Young drops to 5.

If so you grab love at 18 or 26. If you have to move to get him it will be much less expensive than trading up to 2 or 3.

jsm08 i agree with hoping Young falls to #5 and picking a QB at #18 or #26 (Love, Hurts, Fromm) I even suggested the report we were going up to #2 would be great if we took Young there.

I would not even trade up to get Young. I would rather have 6 of the first 100 picks in the draft than Young.

Keep your fingers crossed.

NO TUA.

I am not suggesting to actually trade up... i say stay where we are and use the extra picks on upgrading the whole roster..... but if Young did fall to #5 then scoop him up or trade that spot to some desperate team for a treasure trove of picks.....this is a project that will not be completed this year.

He is also a future HOFer.

However, he will be looking for a team the will make the playoffs. Besides that, Ross has already said no to Brady going to the Fins. Why would Rivers go to Miami?

I have seen quite a few mock drafts having Miami trade up to grab Tua. I don't think that is a good idea. He isn't going to workout at the Combine; only at his pro day.Not sure Miami is in a position to either trade up or take him at 5 (if he falls there). Hopefully another QB needy team will trade with Miami to grab him (Chargers are at 6 and need a QB, so that needy team would want to make sure they grab him before the Chargers do). Of course, the team Miami deals with needs to be in the top 10 of the draft, otherwise, they can forget about a possible starter at QB (unless whomever they draft with their 3rd 1st rounder or in the second round turns out to be a surprise starter, i.e., Brady).

I find all of the mock drafts having the Phins trading up or even drafting Tua at the 5 spot ridiculous. The only workout I would trust for Tua is 6 4 quarter games in pads. Taking a couple of hard hits and dog piling by 3 or 4 300+ lbs dlinemen. If he walks away with a clean bill of heath then I would consider drafting him.

I agree Mizzou. It was not just a broken hip bone but a misalignment of the whole hip socket.

It's a "wait a couple of years and let's see" injury.

No way in April but I'm afraid we've always been the biggest suckers.

I hope all the reports turn out great on Tua and the Bengals take him. Then they can deal with all the potential problems, or reap the rewards.

Tcpf i think you are the one looking like an idiot idolizing a player who no longer plays here. And did nothing at all here for us. All he did was stay in the pocket until he got sacked. You are in love with tannehill. But hey....whatever boost you teststosterone. Thats your problem.
