Eagles v. Dolphins: Game Day Thread
Posted by: colonel ()

This could be a very interesting game. The Eagles aren't playing very well and neither are the Dolphins. Either team could lose this one. The winner may be the team that scores first.

It should be a nice day in South Florida--love this mild weather--and that will be great for fans at the stadium.

Go Dolphins--play hard, play to win every snap of the ball.thumbs up

AND...........Lets not for get the throwbacks!! These are appearing more and more hopefully when they introduce our #1 player next season he is wearing a new/old Logo!!

look for Zach Ertz to make alot of plays on us without a starting saftey Parker who even if healthy would have hard a hard time covering him. Be interesting what Flores (defensive minded)comes up with to stop him.

This may be the battle of who has the best injured rooster......

GO MIAMI!!!!!

GO DOLPHINS!!!!

Oh boy, not a good start with that interception. Not sure about the incidental block on Parker that allowed the Eagles to grab the ball.

The O-line continues to be out manned not matter the level of talent on the opposing team. We can't run, and provide minimal time to through the ball. Fitzpatrick is going to have a tough day unless something crazy happens on the Eagles side.

2-hand touch type street play for TD. That was funny.

Wentz could have taken a final exam standing in the pocket with all the time he had before the throw.

You can knock me over with a feather! Is this the same team we saw in the first half? Dunno, what happened, but it was amusing to watch and Parker played like we hoped he would for the past...few years. Laird is a keeper guys. He is versatile and we need to see more of him. Fitzpatrick has grit. Wentz is overrated.

Eagles have to be talking to themselves and answering. They were outplayed in the 2nd half by a team that should have been cake for them to beat. We are now a 3 win football team. How about that! The have met my expectations and the season isn't over yet. Just amazing, and I agree that Flores is a good coach who has instilled a positive, keep fighting attitude in these players.

Devante Parker and Fitzpatrick had great games.

That hail mary play at at the end made me cringe. We really almost blew it. They tell everyone to knock the ball down on those passes, but what do we do-- play volleyball with it. Luckily a teammate caught it but that could have easily been a disaster.

Now now JC....dont be a party pooper. How many 4th down plays did we go for? They may not be tanking for TUA but this team has clearly thrown caution to the wind. If they had a chance of making the playoffs commentators would be calling Flores reckless.

They cuaght that ball like they played.....all to be gained and nothing to lose. Draft picks be damned!

Hey! Tom Brady is a "perfect example of a great late round pick"!!!

But how many Tom Bradys have there been in history as opposed to the Spurriers and Grieses (no. 1 and 2) or the Marinos and Elways, etc.????????????????

There is a reason why early first round picks are sought after.

If your simple-minded belief that it is better to have 2 6th round picks than a high 1st round pick were correct then all the drafts would have looked quite differently than they were.

I'm not saying they didn't play hard and ballsy the entire game. They certainly did. All I'm saying is that they damn near took that entire fantastic effort and blew it by failing to do what every high school coach teaches a defense to do on a hail mary play.

I'm VERY glad that the Phins won today (that makes what...three or four of us on this board who want our team to win games this year?).

I disagree that they caught the ball like they played. There's no reason to play volleyball with a hail mary pass, sorry. knock it down, not upward.

Tom just threw an interception from his own 20 which was returned to about the Patsies 10 but the refs (the Pats reserve squad) moved the ball back to the 20. No problem. Touchdown pass on next play. Houston leads 7-3.

Normally, I'm with you guys wanting NE to lose, however....

They played the Texans, one of the teams we traded with to get their first round pick. We need both them and Pitt to lose, which would give us higher first round picks.

Damn Steelers...they keep winning with their second and third string QBs.

If this keeps up, looks like we will have those two extra first round picks in the 20s.

If the Draft were this weekend we would pick 4th.

Cincinnati Bengals. Record: 1-11 (strength of schedule: .608) ...
New York Giants. Record: 2-10 (.507) ...
Washington Redskins. Record: 3-9 (.497) ...
Miami Dolphins. Record: 3-9 (.542) .

If the Bengals take Burrows......

Would it be worth giving up a low mid 20 1st round pick to the Giants to move up to get Chase young?

This is an incredible talent. Our entire defense is instantly improved.as bad as our Oline is.....our run defense seriously has issues. This kid would be like a QB for our defense.

GO DOLPHINS!!!!

Just so I know I'm reading this list correctly, are you saying the following were non-busts, i.e. players that were pretty good for us?
- Charles Harris
- Dion Jordan
- Jamar Fletcher
- John Avery
- Yatil Green
- Billy Milner
- John Bosa
- Eric Kumerow

I am pretty sure it was not read wrong. I am seeing it the same way. You said asterisk were NON-bust...yet you have asterick's by the above mentioned by tsstamper.

Maybe just an oversight on your part Chyren?

I should have stuck with non busts but the first asterisk was for Greise so good just naturally came out of my mouth but below there were other non busts who didn't deserve being thought of as "pretty good."
