BPA, if Burrow and Young are gone. I think it would be hard to pass on a guy like Jeudy since We need receivers and at least two of our current guys won’t be back next year IMHO. Then wait until 22ish to grab a developmental QB in Hurts.

We need receivers but my thinking is, in the absence of a franchise quarterback, we have to rebuild the offensive and defensive lines. We desperately need an edge rusher and left tackle. Davenport stinks. Webb is not much better. I'd go in this direction and address the receiver situation later in the draft or in free agency.
Our current draft position is precarious. If a play goes differently in the redskin and jet game we would have 5 wins right now and picking 11th. Conversely, if the Colts kicker could make a kick they would be leading their division with Houston a wild card team and Steelers out of playoffs.
With our picks I do believe that we could pick any number of players in a variety of ways and be a better team because we would get more talent. But the trick is to maximize the picks.
In our first 6 picks (which would be third round) if we get:
OT, C/G, Edge, QB, WR, RB or CB (I know there are 7) in any order I would be happy.
Parker has finally shown up. I liked Preston, Herns is toast , Wilson and Grant injury prone. Have to get a playmaker or two . The draft is fairly deep in WR why I like Cager late
Gandy Golden is the sleeper. He is legit watch his tape
We have like 14-15 picks . Definitely need OL, DE, DB RB , WR, QB unless we pursue Bridgewater Winston or Carr? Raiders may pursue Hurts
The Miami Dolphins, who are now 3-9, are projected to have the Nos. 4, 20 and 25 picks .
Andrew Thomas OL
JAVON KINLAW DL
D'ANDRE SWIFT RB
Heres my Top 3 if we cant trade down. Swift will almost certainly be a Top 10 pick with Thomas. We improve the running game along with the Oline our QB , who ever it is gets instantly better .
At 36 and relatively healthy, I think Fitz has 3 solid yrs left if we continue to improve that oline.
GO DOLPHINS!!!!

So TC is suggesting NOT ONLY that we pass on drafting a QB with our top three first round pick, but that we pass on that pick altogether thus passing on possibly the next Larry Little or the next Kim Bokamper Instead he wants to trade back into the latter part of the first round in exchange for additional fifth or SIXTH round picks.
LOL. Thanks for being honest. You just hate the draft altogether.
But I'd remind everyone that the alternative to the draft is relying on our management.

Chryen, ummm....I reread TC's post (above) and I couldn't find where he said he wants to trade back in the latter part of the first round.
With Miami picking 4th (probably), the top three guys will be gone. The (supposed) fourth best player is Thomas. He is supposed to be the number one OT in this draft. Will he be there at 4? Who knows. There are other good OL in this draft, so if Miami can trade back (not too far) and pick an extra pick or two, then go for it.
The more guys we can draft, the better the chances that Miami can get some starters and good backups.
Nothing wrong with trading back, depending on the deal that is made. Miami will also be active in the FA market, since they will have plenty of money.
I could swear I thought treasure mentioned trading back when I read the post too. Not getting in the middle of the feud.
I do agree with you about the trading back. If there is a player we love then take him, if you can trade back a few and maybe get future draft picks along with the player we wanted, then go for it.
I mention future picks because we could trade back and maybe pick up a third this year, but we could possibly pick up a second next year. It seems like you can go up one round for a future pick.
The difference is astro.......He tcpf mentioned trading back when tua was still healthy.....
He didnt want tua who was the best college qb pound for pound before the injury....He didnt want lamar jackson and he didnt want desaun watson....
Do i detect a trend here?
I want us to improve the trenches when we have no other choice because burrow will be gone......Fromm is crap and the rest college qb draft class is crap.
Burrows is the only legitimate worth picking in the first. and he will go to the bengals unless the bengals do a whodini act and win the rest of the games and we lose the rest of the games.

Lol. I only see this dip$***$ post when someone quotes him. Should have done this a while ago and will probably make it a permanent thing. Enjoying this place and positive debate again.
Yes thank you. I think that Burrows and Young will be 1 or 2. That's a given.
If we pick at #4" Do the math. Hopefully OL Thomas will still be there and not go at #3. Unless we love someone then draft down and pick up an extra OL in this deep draft. Picking a QB with #4 just for the sake of it is stupid. Too many holes to fill.
When a person doesn't have the intellect to argue with someone, they usually do that,...go hide that is.
And we draft a QB because we don't know what Rosen can do, he's had a very small chance.
I like what he did with that chance but as I said many times, the quarterback is the engine of the modern pro football team. You can't operate the car without it.
There have been some examples of teams drafting a QB high in one year and doing the same thing the next year. We could do so this year and see what next year brings.
As I said before, QB is a very critical part of the modern NFL team.
Of course, I should remind everyone that Treasure has suggested that we bring Tannehill back.
Whatever position our draft picks end up in I do believe that Coach Flores will make an intelligent pick based on his background as a scout and his track record with signings this year. He is a smart cookie. Glad we have him leading this team.
