LSU at Alabama..........

Half time.......Burrows looks fantastic. Tua just threw an int. I'm just not seeing Tua as the answer anywhere.

GO DOLPHINS!!!!

Wow! You're still guarding Tanny's QB position YEARS after he's left. Still freaking out at the thought of drafting a quarterback.

Chryen, where the hell did you come up with that? Treasure said nothing of the kind.

I, myself, have been questioning Tua. Seems like Burrows may be the answer for the Fins.

Not certain (anymore) that Miami will have that number one pick. Hopefully, they will be in the top 5.

Well Cap,if the search function was working, you'd see him preaching against drafting Tua,just like he opposed us getting involved in the drafts that occurred BEFORE Tanny was traded.

And I'd bet dollars to donuts that he ain't no fan of drafting Herbert either or any OTHER QB in the FIRST round, that is.

The connection is that while Tanny was here, he didn't think Tanny needed replacing.

But after Tanny left, that reason is also gone so the only explanation left is that he wants to put as much distance, timewise, between Tanny's departure and a successful successor.

And wasn't he pushing the "false narrative " that Tua was very small in height

In terms of going to another position with our first pick, I disagree. I think we need to replace the engine first

Not even reading his crap anymore. It's never about the Dolphins. Only him. Just ignore it.

Burrows looked fantastic. Making great decisions. Hes got the intangibles.
Tua wont be able to succeed at the faster level of the NFL. I'm more convinced the more I watch him.

If we go for best player available.....we go Chase Young. We go for position, we pick Burrows. That's what it comes down to.

GO DOLPHINS!!!!

I don’t think we can go wrong with either QB. Tua struggled in the first half but he came on in the second half mostly due to rust IMHO. He has really good accuracy and anticipation. Burrows pre snap routine is very slow and I wish his mobility was a bit better.

Win, win situation for us.

Enough film out there on Tua besides the LSU game where it was mentioned he was coming back from injury. I am starting to really like Burrow. I guard my enthusiasm because its the same enthusiasm I had for Trubiskey at UNC. Trubiskey had that one big Jr year and left for the pros. Burrow's Jr year he had a 57% completion ratio. That number bothers me in the spread offense. His mechanics and intangibles appear nfl transferable but in today's college game I like to see a 62-65% completion rate coming out of the spread. Still think Trubiskey will pan out but the optimism that these guys are 100% ready for the nfl needs to be tempered.

I think its a win/win between the two. Saying that I still would draft a second qb in this draft. Gotta take full advantage of this qb class. If a guy like Ehlinger (TX), Staley (IA) or Patterson (MI) is there in the fifth I would grab him. I like the kid from Tulane McMillian as a 7th rounder. There could be a dozen qbs that make nfl rosters in this qb class, providing some of the jrs apply for the draft.

Mizzou....your second paragraph. I'm not too sure about drafting two QBs in this draft; Miami has waaaaay too many holes to fill. Rosen is still on the roster, as is Fitz. IMO, I don't think the coaching staff is giving Rosen enough of an opportunity to show what he can (or can't) do. He played, what...3 games? Big deal. I get it that Flores wants to win, but Fitz only has one more year on his contract. Anyone think Miami is going to resign him after next season? He is a stop gap, that's all. Rosen needs to get on the field so the FO knows what to do at the QB position.

You mentioned taking a QB in the 5th and possibly the 7th. I would say go ahead, but only if position(s) that they need to fill are just not worth drafting.

Much of what happens in the draft will depend on what the Fins do during the off season with FAs. Miami has the cash to grab some (hopefully) starters. The OL is where they need to concentrate on, and maybe DB.

Let's see what happens.

I hear ya Cap what if we trade Rosen? Rosen gets opportunity at each practice to show what he can do. Not being hard on the guy but he is a top 10 pick and he cannot give a journeyman qb a challenge? We will have had a full year to have evaluated him at the end of the season. If he has not been able to show enough to get on the field he should be on the trade market.

Positions in today's nfl are commodities imo. If you have a chance to raise the value of a commodity you have to take it. 2 rookie qbs tutoring under Fitz for a year would be a good thing. Take a kid in the 5th and maybe he pans out and we trade him for a 3rd in 2 years. I think a good nfl qb is coming out of this draft in rnds 4-5.

Dolphins have been developing Rosen heavily. News from the team is Rosen has been coming in early, leaving late and saying and doing the right things. His little stint at the start was just to see where he needed to most work.

Maybe Miami is choosing to develop a top QB draftee instead of picking another to just force to sink or swim?

GO DOLPHINS!!!!
