Fitzpatrick to start again

I expect that this means the evaluation process for Rosen is complete at least in the mind of Flores. Can't imagine why you'd start Fitzpatrick over Rosen if you harbored any idea that Rosen would be your potential starter next year. I think Tua needs to figure out what number he'll take as #13 is unavailable in Miami. Tua to Miami seems a lock.

Ive never ever rootedfor another team except this year.

GO BILLS

But they do not need much help as they have a way more talented team than the phins.

I root against the phins this year because i know it will be for their own good in the long run.

To tell you the truth ive gone to the casino every sunday and watch 2 or 3 minutes of the game in the casino...Maybe even less than 3 minutes.

I cannot take watching the phins and wanting another team to win.

I havent watched a single game this year, i refuse to.

This is the truth i tape every game in my DVR....And watch it two or three days after i know the outcome because i wanna see whos progressing and who is improving as a player which are not many of them phins.((((((( In the next two years there will be about 25 to 30 new players on this team so no worries )))))))

But i cannot watch in real time while the game its going on and root for them to lose.

I go at about 11 Am to the casino and come back about 7 PM. Thats way i forget about the game.

I'm happy that we didn't waste a 1st round pick on Rosen. Albeit he isn't surrounded with a boatload of talent to help him along, either.

With this see saw starting job going on between Fitz & Rosen it's pretty safe to believe we'll be drafting a QB in 2020 & I'm actually quite pleased that Flores doesn't hesitate to yank whomever is stinking up the joint, but they both have their share of that.

I am a bit concerned as to how many of next years picks will be busts. If Grier blows this opportunity he won't be GM for too long. Hopefully Marvin Allen & Reggie Mckenzie will help prevent scouting busts onto the new Dolphins team or at least help to keep it minimal.

Hurry up and wait, story of my life as a Dolphins fan.

I was going to guess that Flores' evaluation of Rosen is complete "for now". I think when they put him in, it was, in large part, to see if he'd play differently in live, non-preseason games than what they'd seen in practice & preseason. Almost all of the commentary was about how he was learning & not ready (identifying the Mike LB, etc), so I'm guessing it's back to the workshop to continue his development for a while. If true, though, the workshop can either be a stop on the way back to the field...or a stop on the way to the trash heap.

Arent we trying to tank?

Why would we want to change qbs when rosen is doing such a great job of stinking?

Tell me why?

Honestly I have not watched an entire Phins game this year. I thought we would see flip flopping at the qb position this year. Fitz cannot play 3 quality games in a row and Rosen is in a chaotic position for a young qb. Almost mid season and this team has not stabilized the oline and fans expect quality at the qb position? It just does not work that way. Rosen appears to do some things well and I think he could be an nfl starter with a solid supporting cast. I would pull him too for a couple of games. Protect him and let him continue to learn.

If flores is trying to win games then he will not be a very good coach for the phins.

But i will give him the benefit of the doubt because he is only been here for one year.

Maybe this is the reason that we cant get draftees to play at a high level.

Its because the coaches dont do a very good job of teaching.

We need changes at every level on this organization. Starting from the owner to gm to all the coaches.

The best thing that could happen to this franchise would be for Ross to sell it. He may be a genius when it comes to real estate development, but he's clueless as an NFL owner. Grier should've been fired along with Gase and Tannenbaum (the latter of which should NEVER have been hired in the first place). He should've enlisted the aid of a savvy retired guy like Ron Wolf or Bill Polian and had him find a young up and coming GM to rebuild the team. Give the new GM authority to hire and fire and then get out of the way. Ross always seems to want to hold on to some piece of whatever regime was in place that failed.

I..... like many others .....am afraid we will screw up the 2020 and 2021 draft.

It doesnt matter what players we pick, if we dont develop them the right way, they will not become great players.

And we as fans have to endure this.

It hasnt been easy been a dolphin fan for the last 30 years.

But we bleed aqua and orange. We cant help it.

Robbe was the best owner of any sports franchise. This guy is at the other end of the line.

OK w/ are rebuilding the team, rebuilding would have looked any better with someone else tearing the team apart and restructuring it?

Joe Robbie was a cheap bas**d. If he had paid Zonk and Warfield we would have won at least one more super bowl. Not signing those guys neutered the most formidable offense in the league. We never recovered from that disaster.

Just and FYI, neither flores nor any of the players are tanking. That's a narrative started by armando salguero that went national.

If for one second you think Flores is making decisions with tanking in mind you really don't know much about sports.

So who are these "young up and coming" gms?

Lol. It's so easy to make such a comment right? "Pick a young and upcoming GM" .....They said the same thing right before Gase was hired.......

GO DOLPHINS!!!!

To name a few, Joe Douglas with the Eagles is highly regarded in the league. Ed Dodds with the Colts will be a GM somewhere soon. Mike Borgonzi with the Chiefs is also highly regarded. Keep in mind, that's why I would've enlisted a Ron Wolf type to do the search. I expect he knows what to look for in a GM. I don't get the logic of not doing something because it's hard. Ross' penchant for hanging onto losers too long has got us headed for 0-16.

Ross is doing the hard thing. Yo don't think rebuilding and watching your team lose week in and week out is hard. Lots of fans would be happy to watch this team go 6-10 7-9 with the same bunch of sub par players that we had been carrying on the roster for too da** long. I would rather see the team rebuild. Ross wanted to trade down and collect picks a couple of years ago. Hopefully now with Grier and the other guys McKenzie etc they will add more talent and get this team headed in the right direction.

Fans that don't have faith can eat .....

I'm all for rebuilding. I'm not for allowing a guy who's been with this franchise for 20 years to be the one doing it. Yes, I know he wasn't always in charge, but he's been involved in player evaluation that whole time. Do you think Miami has been even above average in identifying talent in those 20 years? I don't. Sometimes change is good. A fresh pair of eyes can be a Godsend. Someone mentioned how Gase was a mistake. Grier was part of the "brain-trust" who hired him. I never wanted Gase. I thought he was overrated due to being credited for a lot of what was the direct result of coaching Peyton Manning. Look, I hope Grier hits home runs on all the picks we have. I'm a fan first and want us to succeed but I've seen nothing from Grier that makes me confident he's anything but an average personnel guy at best. Average player evaluation gets you .500 results which is what we've hovered around since Grier's been here.

Was watching the FOX sports talk before the game last Sunday.....Jimmy Johnson was leading everyone in the game picks again. He wins almost every season. There is a reason.....he knows football, intangibles.

They need to seriously hire him as a consultant. If even just to cross reference thier data. Help manage the treasure of picks...work that war room.

1 thing is for absolute certain.. .our future for the next decade is riding on next yrs draft.

GO DOLPHINS!!!!

Just as our QB woes may be cosmic adjustments for having Greise and Marino, maybe having Ross is adjustment for having Joe Robbe as an owner.

What foolishness. Of course he's trying to win games- he has very little talent to work with.

It seems clear that the coaches are doing an excellent job of teaching as most of the players are improving, but this team simply isn't very talented.

What do you think we are doing? Nothing we can do about the owner(unless you can buy the team, of course) but we've changed the GM, all the coaches, and most of the players. How did you miss this?

And when your changes at coach and GM don't upgrade, it means you don't know how to pick the right coaches and GMs, THEREFORE you should sell the team to someone who knows how to select good ones.

Ok, but just listen to him when we draft defense. He doesn't know much about offense. Just look at his drafts when he was here. We had one of the greatest offenses on the planet when he got here, and a poor defense. When he walked out on us we had a pretty good defense and a poor offense, which has stayed to this day. He drafts defensive guys like JT and Zack, and offensive guys like jj Johnson. Need I say more?

You start with a quarterback and unless he's got the quickest release in history like Dan Marino, you then draft an O line to make sure he has enough time to pass. Now Tannehill had enough time but was so indecisive, he got sacked anyway.

Thirdly, you draft receivers. Then you go the other side of the ball. First there are pass rushers. Then smart secondary players.

So QB, Oline, rbs, wrs, dline, d secondary, and last special team players.
