I suggest that we trade our #13 and #151 picks (value chart 1180.6 points) to New England for their #32, #64, #73 and #101 picks (value chart 1181 points).

We would move back in the first round but would end up with 7 picks between 32 and 116.

I don't care what the chart says, NE would never do that trade. I also don't want to do ANYTHING that has the potential to make them better even for one second.

Hell yeah. But NE would never.

Ken......look at how much better it would make US. But they would never go for it. We could rebuild both lines on that deal alone.

GO DOLPHINS!!!!

I am almost positive New England would not do it, but they have tons of draft choices and we might have an edge with our new coach.

If we could do that trade with NE we could do with another team...

Hell no! We should get BPA OR BPAPON (best player at a position of need).

We don't need to be screwing ourselves by 1) giving up our highest pick AND WHAT'S WORSE 2) giving it up to our chief rivals.

I guess this proves at the very least that one poll need NOT be taken.

It is clear that the overwhelming majority of you guys agree with Treasure that the guys in the first round are NO MORE TALENTED than the guys in the 3rd or even 4th rounds.

Wow ChyrenB, you are bitter. The question was just asked to provoke thought. Like what a GM would be doing. I am one who hates it every time a team trades with New England on draft day, because NE always gets the better deal.

The whole idea of the trade is that is one extremely talented player more valuable that four very talented players.

The poll was attached for fun. Why tell people not to take it.

I just was wondering out loud if it was better to restock players or to get one good player.

Here's another fact for everyone, do you realize the Miami miracle cost us 350 value points on the draft chart, equivalent to the #55 pick (23rd pick of second round)

So what!? When everybody on this board said that moving up for Dion Jordon was a great move I defended why he should be traded while he still had value.

Why do you care so much what a group thinks? You always start new polls trying to gather group hierarchy like it would ever change my mind. You are all about draft day 1. You believe it makes or breaks a team. OK. You dead ass wrong but you believe brother. My Favorite Miami Dolphin was had in the 5th round. Cameron Wake never even got drafted. He was banished to Canada before summoned by the Tuna. Dan Marino was practically a second rounder. Jason Taylor a third.

This was just for fun......a Pre draft what if that will probably never happen. Although Astro34 makes a good point...this is Coach Flores old Team.........eye rolling smiley

GO DOLPHINS!!!!

And Astro, if I AM bitter, here is why. Bob Greise left Purdue in Msy of 1967 to come to the Dolphins. I left Purdue at the same time and have been a Dolphin fan ever since.

I remember getting new life when Dan Marino came here. Treasure, on the other hand insults Marino by keeping bringing up the fact that Marino never won a Super Bowl. The only Miami QB he respects was Ryan Tannehill.

Do you feel the same way?? That is the ONLY thing I have disagreed with him on. He is SO upset Tanny is gone.

Would I do it?

Maybe. I’m looking at a recent mock draft on draft wire USA today and those Patriot picks land the following players:

- 32: Nasir Adderley | S | Delaware
- 64: Kaleb McGary | OT | Washington
- 73: Andy Isabella | WR | UMass
- 101: Lamont Gaillard | OL | Georgia

We might want to look at someone else with the 73rd pick, and Adderley’s selection might be overkill at the safety position, but that quartet could be useful for the rebuild. Ok we’d likely give the Patriots their Gronk replacement with Hockenson, but as long as they weren’t moving up with us to get Brady’s replacement (eg Haskins, Lock) then I wouldn’t mind.

With that said, I do like our options at 13, so while this draft haul is nice, it’s hard to discount the value of someone like Jonah Williams or Brian Burns coming here.

ChyrenB.... Dan Marino never won a super bowl because his defense was bad. If he played for San Francisco at that time they would have won eight super bowls. He is hands down the best QB ever. Greise was also a great QB in that he got the most out of his players around him, lets not forget they did have the #1 defense in the league in our undefeated year.

With respect to the upcoming draft. If there is someone we really love at #13 then take him. If not get out of that spot and get a haul like I proposed. Rebuild the offensive and defensive lines with those picks. Take Tyree Jackson in the mid-rounds and maybe the kid from North Dakota state, Easton Stick, in the 7th or free agent.

If we rebuild the trenches this year we won't win much. Then next year take Justin Herbert with the #1 pick. He reminds me of Marino.

Wow you are reaching. Is that what you get out of my Marino comparisons? It's TRUE the ignorant only see what they want to see.

Disrespect Marino? I've met him. I have a small shrine to him in my den. MY FIRST SON IS NAMED AFTER HIM.

My point.....and I think you know it......but refuse to see it.....is you keep claiming the QB is everything. You want to sell our future for a first round back. And it HAS to be a first rounder.

What did that get us for 17 yrs?
THAT THE POINT. You see it, but refuse to acknowledge it. Tanny might not have been half the QB 13 was.....not many are.....but he had plenty to win it all with the right coaching and players to support him.

Dan Marino is gone. You will never see that again. You need to move on. You keep comparing every QB we get to him your never going to be happy.

Man I thought you were smarter then this.

GO DOLPHINS!!!!

Another trade back scenerio:

Trade #13 to the giants (they have 12 picks) for #17,95,132,143

1150 trade value points to a total of 1144. They get a better point value, i guess they could throw in one of their 7th round picks)

Essentially moving back 4 spots and pick up an extra third, fourth and fifth round draft pick

And we would not have to deal with New England .... unless they we trade back again

I think there is a high probability to have a few trade partners if Lock is still available at 13. Murry is going to the Raiders. That's almost a sure thing unless Arizona grabs him instead of Haskins. Extra Multiple draft picks would be a big step in rebuilding this team.

On history's list, now that he is gone and his tenure is a fixed item that will not change, Tannehill has officially replaced David Woodley as our WORST quarterback.

Come on, Treasure! Come out your doghouse. LOL. Bite me. I'm having fun.

Many holes to fill on this team and it's rebuild time. Go for it with moving back 4 spots to get a few more picks, I'm ok with that.

Hi Mike, Just quoting your post so that it will show up (we are having problems with certain features on the board lately causing posts to turn up blank.

Everybody, see above for Mike's post.

Hi Mike!!! Welcome!!smileys with beer

I dont see Haskins falling to #13.

If we have the Opp to get Haskins at 13.......I'd be on that like white on rice. I see Arizona grabbing him or Murry. They also might be screwing with Chucky because he has such a woody for Murry. He might have to trade up 1 spot to get him.

Murry is either going to the Raiders or Chucky is taking bluffing to a new level.

I just really do not like Lock. He will bring failure IMO. I'd love to trade down that pick.

GO DOLPHINS!!!!

With those picks and the draft falling as the current DrafTek scenario has it. Our draft could look like this:

1 Lindstrom G BC
2 Ya Sin CB TEMPL
2 McCoy C TX A&M
3 Hanks OLB NM ST
4 Wesley WR TX TK
4 Grier QB WV
7 Conway T SYR
7 Scarlett RB UF

Heck yeah Im making that trade

Best G and C in draft
Ya Sin big strong cb opposite of Howard
Hanks brings great athleticism.
Wesley great route runner
Grier, I like better than Lock
Conway 3 year starter at LT. Good pass blk, fit at RT
Scarllett all up to him if he wants to play or not
