How do I vote if I think the problem goes deeper and even if Gase were fired, the upper management would bring in someone who would be the same or maybe even worse.

We are now beginning to suspect that we should have kept Philbin but even moreso, we should never have let Todd Bowles go.

Sorry but I've seen enough.

Too many times I've seen this team look completely flat and unprepared for their opponent and that is on him. I also believe that his insistence on calling all the plays in addition to being the HC is detrimental for this team's success.

I'm totally done with Ross's formula for running his football team - It isn't working. As long as Grier & Tannenbaum are here, no HC who's a proven winner will be attracted to coach for this team. All we'll get are first time HC's that are in over their heads.

I do believe that 90% of a team's fortune is determined by the ownership and therefore, as such, like a commercial for Allstate says, "Unfortunately, you can't do anything about that."

The only way they should keep Gase is if he

1. Fires Burke as DC and brings in veteran, knowledgeable coordinator

2. He gives up play calling and starts becoming a HEAD coach

SC Phin I said same earlier. Gase needs to go. As much as I dislike Tannenbaum good coaching can win with the players we have now. I don't think our recent coaches commanded the respect of their players. Both Gase and Philbin are delinquent when it comes to command. Also in assignment of duties. When I watch the Chargers I noticed the oline play. The LG Feeney makes the line calls and they have no issues picking up stunts and blitzes. Pouncey is playing well. For years I said Pouncey was not making proper line calls but for years that responsibility was given to that idiot. The Chargers know how to handle him and get more out of him. Landry in CLEV is working in a system where he is part of a team. CLEV is not treating him like he is the center of the universe. He is a good possession receiver. No more, no less. Rams are 11-3 w/ Suh. You have to know what to do with the players the front office is giving you.

After this year we will probably lose another top player, Jones.

Give Parker and Harris to other teams and they will figure out what to do with them. This crap that we have is on the coaches. Belichick could probably go 12-4 with Tanne and this Phins squad. Gase and staff would have Brady and the Pats at 6-10.

I am half inclined if I was the owner to keep Gase and Grier. But, that said Burke has gotta go and Gase has to give up calling plays. Those would be steps one and two.

If Gase refused, he'd be fired.

I think we can all agree that Tannenbaum is a blight on this franchise and the very first thing that should happen is that he's fired and ushered out of the corporate offices with an escort by security if he's not moving fast enough. Then, what I would do is find someone with a very high football IQ to interview potential replacements for Tannenbaum's position. Ron Wolf comes to mind. Bill Polian is another guy though I think he's busy with that new football league. Whoever is hired should decide the fates of Grier and Gase. My guess is that a new person wants to bring in his own people and likely that means that both are gone. That won't bring any tears to my eyes as I think Grier has missed on more draft picks than he's hit on, and Gase is arrogant and stubborn to a fault.

After losing his QB for the entire 17 season and bringing in Cutler I think Gase sealed his fate when he made Osweiler the primary backup this year.

His ego says he can make those guys good QBs. The guy was made by Manning.

The difference between an average team (8-8 record) and a superior team (12-4 or better) isn't just a few additional quality players, it's above average players at most positions plus proven assistant coaches that can develop players to get them to be more effective in what they are supposed to do.

Consequently, the Dolphins continue to employ unproven assistant coaches, and in regards to HC, Gase was also unproven. Simply, Gase was a rookie HC. His development since his hiring has yet to show anything much to speak of. If Ross doesn't cut his employment at the end of this season, expect a similar result in 2019. It's time for another change.

This applies to Grier and Tannenbaum too. Results? Not much to speak of--time for a change there too.

The team needs to be revamped. A QB should be picked up in the draft to eventually replace Tannehill. Injuries have caught up with him and IMO I just don't see him being reborn with greater skills than he has shown thus far.

The revamp job following Philbin's departure, Gase, has been a bust. Time to fire Gase and DC Burke. In military speak it's time for a command change.

Hes done way more good then bad. He cant be responsible for all the injuries. However things need to change. Get a OC. #1 . Play calling needs to be not so obvious. New DC as well. We have talent. Need people that know what to do with it.

GO DOLPHINS!!!!

I'm on the team with give him ONE more year to prove himself but he has to give up the play calling and get rid of Burke.

The things that Gase has done badly in my opinion:

1. The obvious one is play calling. He stinks at it. Problem with changing this segways into number 2

2. Terrible assistants. Burke wasn't even a good linebacker coach, and Gase makes him the coordinator because he didn't want to change the system? The defense has stunk since Gase has been here. Dowell Loggains is another example of a crappy assistant. What in hell has he ever done anywhere that makes him an NFL caliber coordinator (other than work with Gase in Chicago)? If Gase had given up play calling this year, it presumably would have gone to Loggains. Who's to say he'd be any better at it. Now if the team had a competent and experienced OC, maybe. For whatever reason, Gase either can't or won't hire good assistants which is absolutely necessary to be successful in this league.

3. Gase has a MASSIVE ego for someone with a rather average resume. His arrogant hardheadedness has lost us some pretty good talent. No one can tell me that this team wouldn't have been better with Landry and Ajayi than they've been without them. IMO, they're gone because they didn't kiss Gase's ass sufficiently to suit him (and yes I know that Landry wanted lots of $$ but we essentially could've had him for what we paid Amendola and Wilson.

Bottom line, when Gase was hired, I thought we needed a more experienced and proven coaching talent. I thought that 90% of the buzz about Gase was the product of Manning being the defacto coordinator. I never did understand why his work in Chicago was so lauded. He got an average year out of Cutler by cutting down his number of throws and the team still had a losing record. Nothing that Gase has done in Miami has changed my initial opinion of him. In some ways, I think less of his coaching ability.

Bad coaching (plans preps etc.) can make good (average) players look bad --- inversely really good coaching can make average players look well above average...

It's all about getting the most out of your talent.

Gase has an uncanny ability to mute talent and/or highlight players weaknesses...

Honestly felt like he and the team slightly overachieved (emphasis more on slightly than overachieved) given the season's circumstances thru 13 games. But I find myself glad that the last 3 games played out as they did because I think they are a much greater indicator of who Gase & Tannehill are when put in the position we all want the team to be in...playoffs on the line. Tannehill completely pooped the bed - like literally doing the backstroke in human feces - and Gase couldn't help his boy Tanny and lost the team's confidence in him to lead effectively.
