You hear the term "Franchise Quarterbacks" thrown around alot.
What about "Franchise Coaches" or "Franchise Management"? Is the coaching staff and front office of the caliper to really elevate the Dolphins to the top rungs of the NFL? Honestly, you could have a great QB but if you have mediocre the coaching staff and front office, you're not going far.
I'm not for blowing up the team every 2 years. The group we have in place is ok but I personally don't think they are capable of getting the Dolphins CONSISTENTLY to playoffs with a legitimate shot at the Super Bowl. That being said, its time for them to go.
Re: Franchise Quarterbacks? What about Franchise Management?
A good front office/Franchise Management would be able to find and keep a Franchise coach and both would rebuild the Dolphin into a winner
Look at Pittsburgh. I never hear of people complaining about their GM/Owner etc, they only had 3 coaches since 69 and while they do have bad years, they are constantly in the playoffs and currently have the most rings.
Re: Franchise Quarterbacks? What about Franchise Management?
Ross only cares about the celebrity status which comes with owning a major professional franchise and the named people with whom he can rub elbows because of that fact.
He, more than Gase I believe, does NOT care about the draft.
Gloomyly, we are doomed until he sells the team......or maybe Gase decides to move on and him, Ross, the blind squirrel, gets totally lucky with finding a nut when hiring the next head coach.
