My comment was directed at the last draft moreso than Tannehill's shortcomings. Darnold is doing pretty well with 10 TDs at the midpoint to the season which compares favorably with Tannehill who had 12 TDs his entire first season. Mayfield has 6 TDs through 4 1/2 games. Barring injuries he is also on pace to eclipse Tannehill's mark.

Tannys rookie season:
In week 4 against the Arizona Cardinals, Tannehill threw for 431 yards, surpassing the Dolphins' single-game record for most passing yards by a rookie quarterback, set by Dan Marino in 1983. Tannehill's mark was 1 yard shy of the NFL's single-game passing-yard record by a rookie quarterback, set by Carolina's Cam Newton in 2011. He threw for 1 touchdown and 2 interceptions in the 24–21 overtime loss to the Cardinals. In week 16, Tannehill set a franchise record for longest run by a quarterback by rushing 31 yards in a single play. During that week 16 game against Buffalo, Tannehill also became the fifth quarterback in team history to surpass 3,000 passing yards in a season.
Tannehill went on to set franchise rookie records for passing yards, attempts, and completions.
He did well when Jake Long was a Dolphin. He always played well when the Oline played well. But its easier to hate , blame everything on a guy who never had a fair shake since starting. His problem was never his ability or athleticism he was doomed when he was drafted a Miami Dolphin.
Treasure, didn't you once say that you started out as a Jet fan before you moved to Florida from NY? I'm not kidding but I do seem to remember that though I very well could be wrong but even if you were, no big deal.

Thank you......you only live across the street. When was the last time you even saw a game or a practice? Just curious.

As usual you couldnt be more wrong. I was a Terry Bradshaw fan in the 70s. I loved the Dolphins and Steelers. Im still a Closet Steeler fan.
Ive had actual fistacuffs with Jet fans and my car vandalized growing up in NYC.
No one hates them more then me. NO ONE.Ive been to Dolphins /Jets games at the old Shea stadium in queens NYC.As well as the old Giants stadium. No.....@#$%& the Jets. Never.

When they prove they could win consistently again i will start to support them again.

Not competitive? The Bears game was maybe the best live game I ever experienced. AND....Tannehill didn't even play. I have pictures with my boys that will forever be on the mantel. Your true colors have been exposed. No need to say anymore.
Sam, it's just like you hire an employee and tell him that his job is to go out and purchase either equipment or other workers. You have to grade the job he is doing by the results you see.
And this is why I am not a stat geek. With a QB who is genuinally good, the proof is obvious. I just don't think that Tanny is comfortable in the pocket.
I see Brock getting rid of the ball a lot quicker. I know his passing comes with a greater risk of interceptions than Tanny but I don't know, I just prefer that to see interceptions than sacks although I perfectly understand why very few would agree with me.
I just can't stand the "Snap, Sack. Snap, Sack. Snap, Sack."

Oh I get it now. Its The QB that makes the Oline. Right.
Marino had a good offense but no defense. Every game he would have to pass for a million points. My ex, a Colts fan, used to say, "The Dolphins don't care. They'll just outscore you."
