We should have traded Parker in the off season while he had some value. Now with the press taking daily s**** on him we will not get a 7th rounder for him. Idiot at Phinphantic wrote and compared him w/ Green and said he would not dare compare him w/ OJ McDuffie. Why not because Parker's first 3 year stats are better than McDuffie's.

Cut this guy and let him go to the Pats already.

I doubt Bellichick would want Parker. He's soft and Bellichick doesn't seem to have a lot of patience for soft players. The first time Parker couldn't play because of an ingrown hair, Bellichick would cut him.

Nah... Parker will get a yeast infection and be on IR long before he plays Miami. Parker won't be in the league much longer unless he learns how to play while he's "hurt." If he hasn't figured out how by now, I doubt he'll ever learn it.

hey thanks samsam, i appreciate the love however it takes 10 of me to get a bean. Are you serious?? you like this ass clown who is hurt again? the guy has done nothing, year after year always hurt always crying always taking plays off. He couldn't run his dumb ass out of a bag if you gave him scissors. His route running sucks he probably could not find the damn open end. If you suck you suck man dont care who you are. how many years do the phins have to keep a diamond in the rough to realize he is not a good fit for this team. Maybe if he got a new start he will be a great receiver but they shouldnt waste more time on him. I say 4td and less than 575yrds. lets see at the end?

Could it be that Devante Parker is "afraid" to play at the NFL level and is feigning most medical issues? It makes me wonder about it. Hmmm. confused smiley

Colonel,

Afraid or soft... but in today's NFL, if a player can't play "hurt" he can't play at all. Players always have some type of injury... given the violent nature of the game. Great players play regardless. Ronnie Lott I think when he hurt his finger in a game, had them amputate part of it so he could go back. Bob Kuechenberg played in the Minnesota Super Bowl with a broken arm. Can you imagine Parker doing that? I'd have traded Parker a year ago. He's a waste of a roster spot. Gase who supposedly wanted to rid the team of players who weren't 100% invested in playing the game... who weren't "team" guys, oddly still kept Parker and Jordan Phillips on the team.

******************************************************

I agree that Parker has been hurt quite a bit since joining the Fins, and some of those "hurts" he could have played thru, however, with a broken finger? He is a receiver....he needs that finger to be able to catch then hold on to the ball.I don't want him out there if he can't do the main thing he is being paid for...catch the ball.

Granted. Ronnie Lott had part of his finger cut off, but he was a DB and that finger wasn't needed (as much) for his position like it is for a receiver.

A WR playing w/ a broken arm or a severed finger it does not make sense. If Parker was dodging games he would have to have the aid of his position coach and the training staff.

There was a MLB from DET around 60-61 I think, who had his eye pop out of his socket. Went to the sideline and they popped it back and and then he went back on the field. Players today are not that damn stupid anymore. People think such stupidity is courage. Most coaches were bench warmers who did not have the guts or talent to make it to the nfl players today basically tell them to go &*^% themselves when they say play w/ injuries its not 1961.

The examples that I made were illustrative but seriously, when has Parker had injuries that compared to an eyeball coming out of a socket? The bottom line is that certain players seem to always be hurt. Their fault? Fate? It is what it is. Even when he's "healthy" he's inconsistent at best and that's putting it mildly.

So then I'd ask the question, how long do you wait for Parker to become productive? How long do you tie up the roster spot? We're now going on 4 years. 5? 6?
