I was one of the posters that was extremely unhappy with the team's disposal - and I still think of that mess that way - of one of the most productive receivers that we've ever had. I will be forever grateful to Landry, however, for shooting off his mouth and spouting crap about us. He's made it much easier to handle.

Sam, the number 1 pick is coming... maybe sooner than anyone thinks. Losing Landry was stupid. Should have extended him at least a year earlier. Tannenbaum mistake. Losing Suh was probably inevitable given the contract cap implications. Tannenbaum mistake for negotiating the contract in the first place and Tannenbaum, Grier, and Gase mistake for knowing this was going to happen and not having a plan to account for when it did. Parker should have been unloaded already. He may have been picked in the first round but he hasn't played like it. Lots of cap problems could have been avoided by not extending players like Alonso, Branch, and McDonald. The McDonald extension was a head-scratcher because they did it while he was still serving his suspension. You extend a guy who hasn't played a down for your team but not Landry who is arguably your best offensive player for the past several years? These guys make moves on the fly with no thought about what it will mean 2 or 3 years down the road.

Landry is gone because of his me first and deterorating attitude...this was Gase's call and no one elses. Suh was simply a money thing...the rest was about getting youger, faster and in some cases cheaper.

I think you're perspective is all wrong. I don't give a damn what round a player was drafted in, you keep the player that produces.

I already stated how i feel about this....We have tannehill and other scrubs throwing the rock at parker. Enough said.
We need to stop thinking about getting rid of parker and cut the cancer by the root.
"These guys make moves on the fly with no thought about what it will mean 2 or 3 years down the road."
Seriously, does that surprise you? Why would you expect them to make a decision that MIGHT benefit the team several years down the road, when if they don't win NOW they won't be here 2 or 3 years down the road?

I would agree if we were talking about any other team, Rick, but our owner is TOTALLY DISINTERESTED IN FOOTBALL AND THE PRODUCT ON THE FIELD. He is only interested in the celebrity status that ownership brings him and the famous people he can invite into the box to hobnob with.
I'd rather have an idiot owner who was constantly making bad decisions rather than one who is totally disinterested and does not know enough to fire a bad GM.
I just watched hard knocks. The Browns got our best player (Landry) and have both Tyron Taylor and Baker Mayfield.
We are a fricken JOKE!
Landry has something that only a handful of NFL players have....and that is TALENT and heart! The fact that our idiot coaching staff just can't see this is pathetic!

What makes it even worse is that they replaced Landry with two players which this year take up about 11 million of the cap. Amendola is old and injury prone. Albert Wilson hasn't done crap in his career. It would've cost 3 or 4 million a year more to have re-signed Landry (not to mention if the bozos had extended Landry a year earlier, it would've taken a lot less).
Are you serious? This is a terrible a team that has kept a head coach and his position coaches that have coached a professional football team to a pathetic 1-31 record over the last two years. Completely beyond belief.

"Better" is a relative term. Two wins this year makes them twice as good as last year, and more wins than the total for the last two years combined. If they get to 4 wins, I'll be astonished.
