Even the steelers whos qb is light years ahead of tannehill as far as talent goes, decided they needed to draft one of the available qbs which we could of had, just in case.
Open your eyes and let reality sink in TCPF.
We have the worst qb group in the entire NFL. Thats not a knock on tannehill..
Iam saying that because tannehill is coming off an injury and the jury still out if he can take a couple of hard hits. and our back up qbs stink worse than cutler.
And tcpf sorry if i sound harsh.....But im so depressed over this. You wouldnt believe.
Football and the dolphins is my favorite sport then comes basketball then baseball which is a mess in miami.
If ihavent changed teams by now that 25 years has gone since marino retired and we have struggled with over 15 or so different qbs....i think more, then i must be a diehard right?
This isn't about the "AGE" of our quarterback but his "DURABILITY." As I have said, the draft argument was mooted out when someone swooped in FRONT OF US and grabbed UCLA's Josh Rosen. I still would have taken Lamar instead of what we did but hey, that's a more debateable point.
I won't even comment on the "Sammy Davis, Jr" thing you threw in.

No one swooped.......we never were going to pick a QB. NEVER EVER. And Tannehills durability has been exceptional before this injury.
Why would you comment on Sammy Davis Jr? Are you looking to start trouble now?
Taken Lamar? LOL. Have some Rookie holding a clip board instead of the #1 defensive player in the draft. Yeah....

Lamar was the 5th to go with the last pick of the 1st round. I don't think with the way it played out Miami would have picked a QB anyways. I have seen they were only interested in 2 of them (Mayfield and don't recall the other). Both were gone before them and they wouldn't reach for them either.
They could not take Lamar at 11 and and quite possibly couldn't find a suitor to trade down with. Take BPA and perhaps the best defensive player in the draft. I have no issue with that.
The injury.....The injury.....the Inury. You sound like a broken record.
It's a concern sure....but IT'S not rotater cuff surgery on his tbrowing arm!? He's extremely athletic...a freak by many opinions. Run of the mill knee surgery that many a lot less athletic (Tom Brady)have come back from 100%.
Tannehill needs others around him to succeed, All QBs do. That means you dont waste a 1st rounder on a clip board holder. You keep talking the future. Very rare you get a 2nd stringer like Aaron Rodgers who sits for yrs. Back ups are Supposed to be competant game managers.Thats it.You want someone to root for to take over. All you did is scream Matt Moore!Until he came in and took a shit like a horse who just ate white castles.
Think of some of the recent teams that won the SB. Pittsburg, Seattle, Baltimore, N.Y. Giants, New Orleans, WTF are thier back ups? Can you tell me without looking it up!?
Stop it. Tannehill is our QB. If something bad happens, oh well. Next year is another draft. Move the F on already.......
GO DOLPHINS!!!!

I was about to let you have the last word when you threw in that ridiculous statement about next year's QB class being as good. Was the class after Luck's QB class jUST AS GOOD?????????
Adding here that I thought you were a New Yorker and here you are talking like a country bumpkin who gets fleeced ever time he walks down a city street.

So what your saying is.....this was it.This was the only opportunity to get a QB ever? Then why did the Pats pass?
Why did the Broncos pass?Hmmmmmmmmmm I think Elway knows a thing or two about QBs!? your argument makes no sense.Your just a child. You wanted it now! You wanted to be a part of the hype behind this draft. Pure selfish silliness. Tannehill is our QB .learn to root for Fales or STFU.
Again the only QB's we would have drafted this year were Mayfield and Darnold...everybody else was a big fat NO...Get over it guys, there was nobody else we wanted.
We have a backup and the coaches are happy with him regardless of whether us fans are or not.
There's always the waiver wire during preason. Not the $10 million coaxing someone out of retirement signing, but the signing of a capable backup QB who gets cut during the preseason. A guy who WANTS to play, for a cap-friendly amount.
I may be asking a lot, but we should keep an eye on the waiver wire for sure.

I like Tannehill a lot and I think he's more than good enough if he has a running game and stout defense. But regarding the back up situation, that's where I totally disagree. If you could combine the talents of Fales, Osweiler, and Petty together, you still wouldn't have an adequate back up. We will have the worst back up situation in the league. JC is right, we'd better be looking at the waiver wire because what we have right now is positively pitiful.
