"Moore just had a noodle arm."

Not true. Moore was known for his ability to throw deep. Fales cannot even come close.

ChyrenB, I'm mystified as to what post of mine that you are referring to. I don't find anything in your post that I would strenuously object to.

Rick, now this is REALLY funny because I can't find the post to which you are referring when you said I was referring to one of your posts.

Just quote it and post "***bump****"

Moore has an arm, my problem with him was that he could not sustain a high level of play for an entire game, a 50/50 guy. Good enough 50% of the time. Fales is a guy I noticed in his JR year at San Jose St, while checking out that cb they had, Benewikere(sp?). I noticed he got the ball out quickly, his release was almost like Marino (forgive the sacrilege). Not a strong arm but the ball got there, good accuracy. I liked him and checked out several games his Sr year. Did not raise his level of play but enough was there. So I see what Gase sees in him. Yet I still wanted to add more talent behind Tanne this year thru the draft.

Osweiler is not as good as either in my opinion. Always thought he was a poor man's Moore. That is not a good thing. Also thinking that is one of Tannenbaum's choices. Tannenbaum did not come up thru the ranks as a scout . Strictly an admin if you read his resume. Player evaluation does not appear to be a strong area for him yet he is in charge of free agent acquisitions. Grier handles the draft as I understand it. I think that is one of our big problems.

btw the article mentioned Fales was drafted in the 4th but he was drafted in the 6th. Amazing how some journalist are to lazy to check out facts and the editors do catch the errors.

I guess you never saw me call him tannehill the real deal when he played well...Chren is witness.

But when he played like trash he got called out as well.

Also someone posted fales looked better than moore.

IMO Fales can stink and still look better than moore.

Moore was a mess.

Deep? All his passes were lofted , no trajectory , which is why he was an INT machine.

GO DOLPHINS!!!!

I re-watched the Buffalo game that Fales played last season and I still don't see anything that comes close to NFL caliber talent. His arm is not particularly strong. He doesn't put a lot of velocity on this throws. Literally every pass he completed was short and relied on the receiver to make yards for the first down. He was behind on several throws and was bailed out by Landry on a few of those (that ship has sailed). He had several interceptions dropped by Buffalo defenders. His one TD throw was a shuffle pass and really was a running play. I'm not sure on what happened on his last pass that was intercepted to lose the game but unless the receiver ran the wrong route, it wasn't even close to any Miami receiver. I'm still convinced that we'd have been better off drafting a QB in the latter rounds, either Falk, White, or Lauletta and try to develop him. At worst, a rookie QB would be no worse than Fales and quite possibly could turn out to be a keeper. I still think that Gase's worst quality as a coach is stubbornness and a need to always be right. That's the same quality that kept Dave Wannstedt from upgrading from Jay Fiedler because he was bound and determined to show everyone that he was right and everyone else was wrong. Never happened and ultimately it was one the many things Wannstedt screwed up that cost him his job. Gase seems headed for the same fate.

I agree Landry did save alot of plays. He will be severely missed. But I believe Fales can close any game if the unthinkable happens.

You both are completely convinced beyond a shadow of doubt to the fact that you believed only a rookie QB could save us for when he goes down.

You refuse to even fathom maybe he will be just fine and other positions and weapons might be the better option. WHY? Because you both want him injured and replaced. If we had a rookie QB in the wings you would be praying for it. Now you have only two options: Tannehill succeeds and you both have to marry me , or he fails and the Dolphins fail. Either way it sucks to be Chyrene and Sam Sam.

LOL, THIS is why I like you Treasure. You Are a romantic on the classical definition of the word in that you can be always counted on to hold fast to your position. I would like nothing better than a Super Bowl victory, partcularly with a quarterback who great up only 250 miles from where I grew up...Ryan Tannehill from Big Springs, Texas, near Lubbock.

I just 1) don't have confidence in his recovery and 2) just didn't want to pass on this draft class's QBs. I am pretty sure that if you could see disaster in that sense, Tanny out thzt is, you would agree.

You couldn't find this? If it hadn't been right above my "mystified" post, I wouldn't have bothered with this post. I wasn't interested enough to go looking.

Could be better. BUT.....before Tannehills injury we didn't need a back up QB for 5 yrs. I'm pretty sure we take a QB next year. Lets think positive.

We more than likely will take a QB next year, but not a 1st rounder, unless....one of the better QBs falls to Miami.

Falls to Miami? According to most experts, Miami will be picking first in next year's draft. Pray for Shea? Suck for Lock? Lustin' for Justin? Steer for Grier?
