2018 NFL, Round 1, Day 1

"The tension is mounting." That's what the sportscasters are stating. Okay. I kind of feel--"here we go again, what foolish move will our brain trust do tonight?"

Linebacker? QB? DT? It won't be long before we can state--"are you kidding me?" I'm not optimistic--can you tell.

I don't think we do anything foolish. There are too many quality guys available at 11.

So much for sending Goodell up surrounded by Cowboys to prevent booing.

Fitzpatrick is a good player but linebacker was a much bigger need and Edmunds will be a perennial all pro. Damn!

Maybe they think Jones is the only good safety we have.

I guess if he can cover a TE it might be Ok but I still think Miami needed a LB more.

Maybe we can pick the great qb next year since we going to be getting the number one overal pick in next years draft once tannehill goes down again with the same injury....

But i bet you we will pick a OL with the overall 1st pick and hope tannehill can comeback stronger than ever in 2019.

No.......i wanted to be the Team to trade down, we missed it by one. That said in very happy with Fitzpatrick.we needed some athleticism in the middle. Our run defense was deplorable. Amazing athlete.

Next year we get a roof and despite the shade.......a lot more sunshine blown up our asses!!!!

VEA would have been better but still not great. DBs have a career of like 3-5 years in today’s NFL. Dumb, Dumb, pick.

We have needed a true FS along Jones for a while. Fitzpatrick is an Ed Reed type that we need on our D. Smart as well as talented. Not excited by the pick but I feel that it will pay off. How the game is played today there are defensive schemes where McDonald, Jones and Fitzpatrick could payoff for us. Can our DC get it done is my concern.

I would had rather picked lamar jackson and hope he can develop.

We dont even have a capable backup qb but scrubs sitting on the bench...............

Pathetic.

This was an excellent 1st round pick for us......along with other defense players who were hurt last season, we are a better team. This was a Stormy Daniels ........... HOLE FILLED.drinking smiley

Yes we going to the superbowl next year.eye rolling smileyeye rolling smileyeye rolling smiley

We pick a position which is possible the deepest position on this team.

The front office is clueless.

If not a qb then we should have gotten a LB which is the weakest position by far.

They counting on moving mcdonald to LB......

Pathetic.

Another wasted year and we will need now more time to develop a qb picked in the future.

I agree sam, we badly needed a quality LB, but we did get a good player and our secondary was a liability last season...we have to take QB, LB, TE or DT in the 2nd.

Extending McDonald's contract and then drafting a safety shows me that this team has no plan. They just make moves with no method to their madness.

Fitzpatrick was the BPA at 11. We don't have a FS. If you want to complain, complain about signing McDonal to an extension when we already had Jones. They're the same player.

Edmunds didn't go until 16 so maybe the hype was just that.

I like fitzpatrick and will think he'll be a big part of the d for the new regime next year.
