Yes, we listen to ourselves and we make sense to each other....however, I'm not including you in that when it comes to Tannehill, Doris Day.

Which is what????????? To be loyal to the guy who's got the job now.....Tannehill/????????

Anything can be a vice, Treasure, and loyalty to excess also can be a vice and your loyalty to Tannehill is to the point of being not only way overboard but a vice.

Some people see the glass half full.

I see 4,000 yrs a season. Rookie records, and a QB that never complained once even though his Offensive line that blew more assignments then Stormy Daniels on a porn shoot.

Mathew Stafford plays behind a terrible Oline and DET's rushing O ranked dead last in the nfl.

2017 47 sacks 65% comp, 29/10 td/int rec 9-7
2016 37 sacks 65% comp, 24/10 td/int rec 9-7

Tanne
2016 29 sacks 67% comp, 19/12 td/int rec 8-5

12/ints in 13 games is not on coaching or the front office. The point, Stafford is doing more in a more adverse situation.

Front office went out and improved the OL this off season. No more injured, no blitz/stunt calling Pouncey, 'I cannot play LG' Larson goes to RG or on the bench. Resigned James which was the smart move. Tunsil goes into his second year at LT. So the front office gutted the oline excuse should be taken off the table.

Our top 4 WRs have 25 combined years of NFL experience, over 10k yards and 60+ tds. He will not be throwing to rookies. Gase goes into his 3rd year of calling plays hopefully he gets his act together this year too.

I have supported Tanne but its time for him to deliver.

i agree but tannehill should have had legit competition each year. so we're in year 7 trying to build around they guy and if he fails this year it seems like a wasted 7 years.

the stats i posted earlier were from chad henne. comparable to tanne's streak. we tried adding pieces for him too and it didn't work.

when you don't have legit competition or a backup plan for the most important player on the field you get stuck in these 7 year ruts.

next year's QB class sucks. Now is the time to use a high pick for your contingency plan. If Mayfield makes it to 11 I'd pull the trigger. I wouldn't for Allen, Jackson or Rudolph. If one of those fell to the second round I'd grab them then.

But for tcpf its tannehill or nothing he is so in love that he cant see straight..

He has no backup plan because he thinks tannehill is going to be healthy this year and be a dominant force for the next 15 years...

OOPS...In 15 years tannehill will be ready for medicare.

I agree 100% on all of your points except next years qb draft, it might be deeper than this years. That's why I would go for a guy like Falk or White in rnd 3 this year. Then go back in and get another guy in 2019. At the same time would not be disappointed if we drafted a qb at #1 this year.

Check these college qbs out in 2018:
Drew Lock MO
Clayton Thorson Nwestern
Shea Patterson MI
Jacob Eason WA
Jarrett Stidham Auburn
Francois FSU
Grier WV
Fitzgerald MS ST
Jones Duke
Finley NC ST

Draft the QB of our FUTURE in the 3rd or 4th round, Treasure??? That's an astounding statement. Does this even make sense to anyone else here????

And don't give me that Tom Brady crap. That ONLY happens once in a lifetime.

You are pointing to the exceptions, not the rule and exception of Wilson, the others never carried their teams. If your point is, on the other hand, that a great QB ain't necessary to have....then reciting your position does not constitute proof that it is true.

Yes it does. Of course it does.and we have our future QB. We just need to put him in a place to succeed. You won't get to rub one out on draft day, but a trade down and 2-3 more picks makes us a better team.

GO DOLPHINS!!!!

Ryan Tannehill is the third best quarterback in yards passing in his first four seasons as a pro. Behind Peyton Manning and Dan Marino. Not bad in my book.

And TCPF you are hoping that tannehill is healthy to start season.

You have no backup plan in case he can't play.

Its either tannehill or nobody else.

So if tannehill cant play the season its over.

And you are ok with it.

You are lost.

If anyone can tell me a QB that you could have replaced Marino with and made any of his teams win a Super Bowl please enlighten me. Football is the most "team" sport. Three separate teams ( offense, defense and special teams) We need a team full of good players.

I do think we have no plan other than going with RT this year and if he gets hurt we are SOL.

Oh I garantee they will do something stupid Sam. Doesn't matter what they do. That won't make you or me right.

But if you have 10 holes and no depth it makes sense that you would try to get more picks to fill more holes. Not give up picks to move up for a QB especially when you have a very serviceable one itching to prove something.

But you want a quick feel good fix.i get it. Screw Miami's future and this season right? winking smiley go smoke another bowl....smoking smiley

Why would we screw miamis future if we pick a qb in the first round?eye rolling smiley

This is not the only draft....There will be many more drafts in the future.

YOu dont want us to pick a qb because you think tannehill is going to be healthy and play lights out.

We need a backup plan.

How many more times shall i say it.

And if it doesnt work out this year then draft another in the first next and next and next until it finnally works out.

WHen you finnally have that great qb in place then.....

After that you can surround him with a supporting cast....

We havent done this in 25 years and look where we end up every year. In last place.

Sam, NO ONE would draft a QB in the first round multiple seasons in a row. To do so would be gross waste of draft capital and would get you run out of town. Now after you take your first round guy, to take others in lower rounds makes complete sense. If we take a first round guy this year it'll be because a guy fell in our lap...

I say Falk in the second.

Sam.....why don't we use tbat same logic on a Oline? MLB? YOUR blind bro.
We have huge glaring needs.we can't fill them all with 7 picks. We trade down and get more. That's the smart move. Pick a,QB later. Teams win superbowls with late round And all the time if the team is good enough.

GO DOLPHINS!!!!

Quote: "Pick a QB later".............after those five have gone.

Whew! Duh....if we're gonna do that then.... for what we will get, it makes more sense to see what's available in free agency then to pick a fourth round QB even if you can get him in the third round (which will happen directly due to the fact that the top five will be gone in the 1st and 2nd rounds).
