Apparently he asked for a pay raise, was told no way and they asked him to reduce his salary so he asked to be released...and we granted his request.

No way he deserved a pay raise.

On this point, we can completely agree. Pouncey's play last year was mediocre due I assume in large part because of his health and the need to limit his practice time to allow him to finish the season. That's the kind of fact that justifies agreeing to a lower salary if anything. Certainly not a raise. Given Tannenbaum's history, I'm just surprised he didn't agree to it.

We are keeping John Denney so all is not lost.

If it means that Ted Larsen rides the pine, it's great news.

Don't really regret losing Pouncey, Never was a great Center, poor leader, underachiever, etc. IMHO his play as a guard was better. But if he thinks hes worth superstar money, good riddance.

Finally, a couple of moves I agree with. I like Sitton a lot. #5 rated guard last year by PFF. Huge upgrade over Larsen. Kilgore was rated as the #23 center (not great but Pouncey was 27 & brittle). Plus they didn't give the farm away for him. It's almost as if Tannenbaum and company finally decided to do something that actually helps the team get better instead of worse. Who'd have thunk it?

If Pouncey wasn't made of glass maybe he could of gotten a raise.

Coming off a 6-10 season where nobody did a damn thing to warrant a raise and the douchebag wants one. I toldya you don't win w guys like this. Tanne and Jones (real leaders of men) step up and renegotiate to generate money for the team, douche wants a raise. I always have disliked this guy. Get him the hell out of here.

Finally some good news after being away from here for a couple of weeks. Pouncy is washed up and I find it completely laughable that he wanted a raise.
