yes I am sure the team turned down lots of first round pick offers for Landry and decided to take the Browns' 4th instead. Please show me any slot receiver who ever got a 1st round pick in return. Or any WR for that matter (only one who comes to mind is Joey Galloway a million years ago).

No Dolphins' draftee this year (my opinion) will be able to start for the team. I'm putting it out there. So, if that is correct, the only way to improve the current roster (which is changing) is to 1) make a trade or 2) pick up players via FA who have something left in the tank and aren't too expensive.

Given the high level of negotiating skills exhibited by the brain trust on the Dolphins, the likelihood of anything good happening is like me trying to swim the English Channel or running a 4 minute mile. Ah yes, we have absolutely nothing to expect on a positive note. Major discontent from fans continues. Same old story, new season. angry smiley

Colonel, I think it going to be worse than "same old story." The roster is going to be much, much worse than last year's. No receivers, no o line, crappy defense. They're going to make Cleveland look like the 72 Dolphins in comparison.

Our Team is owned by a wealthy wannabe socialite. The stadium, the new Logo, colors, everything is his idea of making this team better. Ross couldn't relate or care any less about the average fan. He won't give up the team becuase it's his ticket to meeting celebs who wouldn't care about him otherwise. Tannbum is his yes man do boy.

We are doomed until he sells, in convinced.

GO DOLPHINS!!!!

folks dont let your emotions override things here. Yes Jarvis was a great reciever 100 plus a year. amazingly done with this shit show of a team, but it mean absolutely zero playoff wins. zero zero zero. Now his mouth and antics created alot of stuff behind the scenes and he demanded to much money. If he was really a great reciever not a possession reciever he would have had 20 teams beating his door down instead the browns came. If we get a decent wr catches 30passes the te from psu catches 23 and our other wr pick up 10 more we arent missing much trust me here. we need all our cap room we can to get better players that can help out instead of overpaid players that dont want to. Suh would be my next casualty if he wont lower his cap cost. Dont need 26mill up there for what he does. Next up balsa wood pouncy, does not play the way he used too and hurts more on the interior gaps than does good. Next move put tunsil in at guard and get a real tackle for christs sake, he whiffs enough to be a star in wiffle ball. just my opinion boys and while we are at it. geeeeeeetttttttttttttttttt aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa qqqqqqqqqqqqqqqbbbbbbbbbbbb.

The problem with your logic is that it's not just about not paying Landry. It's about why did they pay Branch, Alonso, and trade for Quinn. Those three contracts exceed 30 million of this years cap. The secret to running a team is to know who to pay and WHO NOT to pay. This team has no plan. They're just reacting to things on the fly. That is a recipe for disaster.
