Don't waste your breath, SamSam. These people see only what they want to see.
They see Tannehill, who wasn't that great of a pocket QB in the first place, coming back healthier than ever.
They want to pass on one of the greatest QB classes in history to take a 2nd or 3rd round QB, basically another Fales.
For what?????? A lineman, which is problematic?
I expected people to be arguing for us to take a Running Back to replace Ajayi instead of a QB to be the future but they are NOT EVEN arguing that.
They are arguing either taking a lineman high or trading the pick away in exchange for 3rd and 4th round picks so we can go through the garbage that is left (regardless of which positions we pick then).
If this is the best QB draft class in years doesn't that mean that a great fit would also be there in the 2nd round???
I am tired of drafting O-line. Seems to only work for the Cowboys.
I am with Ken. I would love a stud LB to shore up that weak spot that we have had for many years.
It honestly doesn't matter anyways because whoever they draft will be released a couple years later so we can sign an old veteran to take their spot for the same amount of money. That is the Dolphin way...
I totally agree with this sentiment, but I'm by no means sold by any TE in this draft, Gesicki from Penn State improving his stock at the combine but I don't believe that running around in your underwear should improve your standing from your game performances. So, this TE class is still thin, there aren't many TE's available in FA, but they're high on this guy originally drafted by the Patsies, AJ Derby. If we keep Fasano(if he doesn't retire) as a blocking TE and Derby pans out as a receiving TE, we're in good shape. A lot of "if"s, I know, but the options are limited this year.
Bulls*it, Bingo. Everybody and his brother, plus most of the mock drafters, have us taking a QB in the first. Personally, I think that is a good idea if one of the top QBs is still available. Then, this draft pick can spend his first year or two backing up and learning from a healthy Tannehill. I believe that this would be the best scenario.
