Miami MAY be serious about drafting a QB at 11, but then again, could be setting a smoke screen where if one of those QBs is there at 11, Miami will field calls from teams who need a QB.
As I said before, I wouldn't have a problem if Miami went QB at 11 (but they better be damn sure this guy is their future), but I still prefer Miami to move back a few slots and get an extra pick, hopefully a second rounder, which would (hopefully) garner three starters
Lb at 11, then Falk in the second. Helps the defense out and allows to cover a TE while also giving us a backup QB/potential future starter. Then in the third we grab a TE like Dallas Goddert.
So getting the right QB will help this poorly constructed O-line and Swiss cheese defense? I feel you that better QB play will help this team but enough to get into the playoffs?
As long as Brady and Belichick stay together, Miami is a long shot of making the playoffs and that is with any QB. This team is just simply not good and managed even worse.
Had we had RT this past year we win at least those 4 games. We do have a QB he was just not on the field last year. I'm all for drafting a QB this year but we don't need to take one at 11. I'd much rather have Falk in the second than Mayfield in the first.
I think so, he will still be able to roll out and throw which is mostly what he did anyway. He never did a lot of Newton and Vickesque scrambling anyway.

Do you ever see Miami going 14-2? Come on Chryen you can't be that
naive. But that gave me a good giggle. Thanks for starting my Friday off with a smile.
Maybe I should rephrase what I said to say make it to the playoff as a non-wild card team. Shoot the last year we won the division Brady played like half a game and NE still had the same record as us. We just had the tie breaker.
If Miami was to get great production this year from all the new pieces they acquire I could see them winning 11 games total. That could be enough for a wildcard.

Hah Yup.
Rule of thumb for me: If it involves the draft, I don't know squat about it.
If it involves old songs from the 70s...maybe I know it.
"A good qb makes everybody look good including the oL."
No. No. No. This the kind of statement that just misdirects the reasons for the problems away from the real problems. Every time I hear one of those ESPN or NFL Channel types talking about how the QB is the be-all and end-all in this league, I wince. Yes, the QB is extremely important, but the position always has been since the very beginning. It's no different now than it ever was. Throughout the history of this league, The O-and D-lines have driven teams to be the best teams of their era, and it is still true today. Getting a backup QB that can mature and take over from Tannehill is important, but building strong lines on both sides of the ball is PARAMOUNT. I am hoping that our acquiring a young former Pro Bowl pass-rushing DE from the Rams is the beginning of a meaningful process by the Dolphins front office to do just that.
On another note, it also seems that they finally made a smart trade.
