It's looking more and more like the Brainless Trust that runs this team is going to let Landry go in free agency. My question is who is going to replace the huge amount of production that Landry is responsible for? 4 years. 400 receptions. Over 4000 yards. Devante Parker? Okay, I was kidding. Parker couldn't produce half of Landry's numbers. Kenny Stills? Stills is a good deep threat but no way the chain-mover that Landry is. Not close. Which means we have to rely on the draft or free agency to fill yet another gaping hole in the roster. Am I alone in thinking this is going to be another massive mistake by the morons running this team (into the ground)?
I listen to sports radio here every now and then in the DC area and the Junkies really like Landry and want him as a skin.
I don't ever want to root for the Skins but if he comes here I might have too. As stated in previous post he is by far my fav Dolphin right now.
I do have a liking for Bushrod too. Not for his play but because he is a local kid from my county. I play in his golf tourney he does here every year. But if Miami let Bushrod walk that wouldn't phase me one bit.
I just think it's hard to imagine that losing your best player on offense isn't going to really hurt an already crappy offense. Landry is also about the only alpha player on a soft offense to begin with. Don't think that losing Landry isn't going to hurt Tannehill. His receiving corps will have gone from decent to lousy. One decent wide receiver in Stills and no tight end.
If Miami doesn't resign him I believe they would have to look to the draft or free agency. I don't have the faith in Stills' hands that I have in Landry and god knows what Parker will do play to play.
The Miami Dolphins management won't be happy until Landry is playing for the Pats so he can embarrass his former team. How this organization is downplaying his value to this team is beyond me.
