6 years and counting and Tannehill never played in a playoff game.

How much longer do we have to wait for him to develop?

Here we go again. 17 yrs and Marino never won a Superbowl. Does that make him any less great? No he was the best.....unfortunately he never had a team like the 49ers did back then.

This poll is nothing more then you and Chyrenne having a tantrum becuase your wrong and you dont have the facts to back your argument. I'll show you!! Everybody agrees with me!! Its silly bro. Stop it. eye rolling smiley

GO DOLPHINS!!!!

The difference between tannehill and marino is we won the afc east many times and were in the playoffs many years with marino. With marino we were a very competitive team. Marino had no running game or defense.

With tannehill we cant even win enough games to make the playoffs.

Its like comparing night and day.

Marino had great Lineman. Richmond Webb /Kieth Sims come to mind. Larry Little......

Your right you cant compare the two. But you dont have to be Marino to win a Superbowl. Alot less talented QB's do it every season. Think WHY?

GO DOLPHINS!!!!

Have you ever stopped and think that when marino played people never said the oline was struggling like we do now.

A good qb makes everybody better.

Tannehill does not have that ability.

Yeah that's it Sam. Trent Dilfer won a Superbowl because he made his team better......

Great teams win championships. A first round rookie QB will never make us great unroll that Oline is addressed.simple. No poll will ever change that.

GO DOLPHINS!!!!

Sorry tcpf i rather the dolphins be a great team with a domination qb than just lucky.

Out of 10 team that win superbowl 9 have great qbs.

rodgers
aikman
brees
brady
montana
manning brothers
roslensburger
steve young
simms
elway
fabre

You need to stop wanting the phins to just be average with an average qb.

We will never get nowhere like that just like in the last 20 years.

We have tried to get to the playoffs with average qbs and almost never got there...Pennington once an fielder.....

But getting tothe playoffs with average qbs almost always gets you an early exit.

Marino's o-line didn't struggle on pass plays because of Marino's quick release and ability to throw it away when he felt the pressure coming. They did struggle on usually not being able to open lanes for the running backs and get the ground game going when leads were established. Seemed like Marino would always make that miracle come back for the team on the last possession. That may be because of mediocre talent at the running back position, during that era but hard to say.

Tannehill is working under a completely different set of rules than Marino. It's almost as if the game has transformed 100 percent. The NFL of Marino's era was a much more painful game for all involved, and the pass interference rules weren't as revved up as they are now. I not only miss Marino, I miss the game of the 80s-90s. I think it was a lot more fun to watch the sport. I know it will never come back but it was nice to see while it lasted.

I voted yes Tannehill is worth it. His numbers are really good compared to his contemporary peers. I hope he can come back and settle this position for a few more years, or else maybe we can look to add someone like Teddy Bridgewater? Someone will be out there on the FA wire if Tannehill doesn't recover from his injury ( I think he will though)

Look at it this way...

The OLIne was good protecting the qb....Marino was the qb with the quick release and alltime records passing

The oline wasnt good opening holes for the rb...>Sammie smith was the running back or one of them

The point is we need to have good players at every position.

We are not going to get anywhere with a not so talented qb like tannehill.

Tanne got his money and that is it. Phins now have to get their monies worth from him. 6 seasons at the helm 0-1 playoffs. Oline coaches whatever he is at the helm. The O is his ship and he is running it. The job is not getting done at that position.

This year we definitely have to upgrade the qp spot thru free agency AND the draft. Yes bring in someone like Bridgewater (if we can trust his recovery) or sign McCown to a 1-2 year contract. We need a #2 that can play in case Tanne goes down.

We also have to draft a qb and I don't care if we spend our 1st round pick on one. Our team stinks. The best we have gotten with our 'star' players is one playoff loss since 2012. Guys like Wake Pouncey and even Tannehill should be upgraded if we have the opportunity.

We are not winning this year or the next or the next...

Draft the qb now that there is good talent there...

What makes you think there is going to be another qb class like this one in a while?

Then you can trade down the first pick next year and so on..

Also this year we can trade down from the 2nd rounder on.....What makes you believe there wont be value in the late 3rd 4th 5th or 6th?

We can get the QB this year in the first and concentrate on the Oline for the rest of the next 2 or 3 years...

Hell we have been trying to upgrade the Oline since jake long was drafted and it hasnt worked.

What makes u think its gonna work this year?

This team needs to try something else. Because what they have been trying hast worked for a while.

And im sure gaze wants to draft and groom his own QB.

Gaze must be licking his chops now that he has heard that mayfield wants to be drafted by the phins.

You point to past Oline failures as a reason not to pick one. Ironically it's much harder to hit on a QB. How many failures did Miami have? How's Pat White or Beck doing? Funny......Chad Henne almost went to the Superbowl this season. The problem is Miami and failed draft picks at positions like Oline and injuries.

Tannehill looked fantastic before his injury. I'm not giving up on him yet.we need a better team, not AN.

See ya around the draft Johnny.......

GO DOLPHINS!!!!

Maybe he meant to add the same thing about Bob Griese. Larry Little, Bob Kuchenberg, Norm Evans, Jim Langer, etc.
