Message To Dolphins Ownership Regarding Jarvis Landry
Posted by: steviec13 ()

I have been a season ticket holder for well over 20 years. I love the Dolphins.
If you do not sign Jarvis Landry, I am DONE as a season ticket holder and a fan!
Stephen Ross....I hope you get the message!

From talking to many fellow season ticket holders, they feel the same exact way! Signing Landry is an absolute must.
I have never felt more strongly about any player since Dan Marino.
If you let this kid go, the franchise will be RUINED!

Stephen Ross: Sign Landry now!

I'm with you but I have a bad feeling that Gase is going to pull a Jay Ajayi bonehead move. I'm seeing a lot of criticism of Landry that seems to be coming from the front office and being disseminated through the media. Losing Landry would be a catastrophic blunder for a team that is bereft of legitimate stars. Take away Landry and what are you left with? No decent offensive linemen. One good receiver in Stills. Parker stinks. Grant is a novelty type of player who can throw in a big play now and then but is far from a starter. No tight end. Kenyan Drake looks the part of an NFL running back but we have a limited sampling of data on that. With the departure of Ajayi, Landry is the only proven star on this roster. If they let him go, it will be further damning evidence of the ineptitude of the coaches and personnel people who are "running" this team.

Did you say "running" or "ruining"?

Im beginning to want to see Landry leave. The Salguero (Salsleazeball) was a real smear campaign that I really think came with the blessings of the front office. Not a leader, runs bad routes, doesn't pay attention to details? Total bs his four year stats shows that sleazy liar Sal is an idiot. The 'does not respect coaches' part is on the coaches you command and deserve respect you get it. His temperament, again the coaches have to work with him on that.

Phinsider wrote today that the Phin fans are starting to turn on Landry well I do not see it. Its the opposite. Looks like the Phins F/O is working with the local press to turn public opinion against Landry and drive his price down. Classless.

Landry has been positive about the whole damn contract thing since 2016 but understandably cracks are appearing and its starting to get ugly. If this guy walks away I hope he is the next Phin to wear a super bowl ring on his middle finger and flip the Phins front office and coaching staff. Im sick of them.

I am friends with many Dolphin fans. Trust me, they are not stupid!
This will turn into another Marlins fiasco. If Landry is let go , this franchise will go back 3 years again , if not longer.
There are no free agents to keep really anyhow.

Landry is easily my favorite Miami Dolphin. And I'm a lover of the defensive side of the ball. Defense wins games. But there is something about this guy......his sprit, his determination. I Love him. Hes exciting as heck to watch. Miami has NOTHING else. Maybe thats why he stands out? I really hope they find a way to come to a deal with him. But I'm not holding my breath.

GO DOLPHINS!!!!

Your post makes complete sense to me with the exception of your first sentence. Why would you want Landry to leave?

When the press starts to sh** on you you have pretty much lost the battle imho. I really hate to see this guy who leaves his guts on the field get treated like this. Now today Phinatic is reporting that Landry's camp took 'side shots' at Tannehill. They are just stretching some remarks his agent put out there while defending his client against some of the negative bs they are printing about him.

Yes its like shooting yourself in the foot wanting to see perhaps the best player on your team leave but if the F/O does not respect
him and attempts to discredit him in the press I will understand if the guy packs up and leave.

The front office has done very little right so far. Got rid of last season's offensive MVP in Ajayi and likely Landry is not far behind. He's Tannehill's favorite target and the most productive on the offense. Next year we'll be recycling old excuses for Tannehill like, "We need to surround him with some weapons."

You know, this is sad. Because I started out writing this reply to say "how on earth would the press affect the decisions of our Front Office" but now that I think of it, with our current ownership and management, you're probably right. That is very, very sad. You'd think that professionals who supposedly know the game inside out wouldn't give a crap about what a reporter says but I can actually see that happening with our current regime.

Could anyone here imagine Don Shula and Joe Robbie on the edge of a major personnel decision and running to the Miami Herald to see what they think?

Tell me what impending free agents do we have to sign this year? Try NONE! Just Landry!

Landry stats are impeccable!

4000+ yards in 4 seasons
Never missed a game
Brings fire to the team
Over 400 receptions per year
Improved in touchdowns this season
He actually blocks well as a receiver
He is a fan favorite!

To me : a no Brainer to give him 5 years for 75 million dollar contact with 30 million guaranteed
Who else deserves the money ??? Jay cutler?

By not signing Landry the Dolphins lose their identity as a team. The only positions on the team that are relatively solid are Wide Receiver and Safety. Without him, we instantly become a weaker team .

Not to mention, the Dolphins will lose MANY season ticket holders and fans by letting Landry go.

Do the Right Thing!

Sign Landry!

sign landry now. He is the best receiver on this team...We cannot keep drafting players, Grooming them to become great players then letting them go to other teams.

We have to keep our own players at any cost.

If we gave tannehill so much money when he wasnt worth it....why not give landry his pay day.

Tannehill wasnt worth 100 mill....Landry is.

Easy way to solve. Sacks and interceptions versus completions and drops.

OR:

Dolphins franchise records and NFL alltime records:

Dolphins franchise records

Record Statistic Set
Most passing completions in a single season 392 2014
Most passing completions in a rookie season 282 2012
Highest completion percentage, career 62.2% 2012-2016
Highest completion percentage in a single season 66.4% 2014 (Min. 500 attempts)
Most passing yards in a rookie season 3,294 2012
Most passing attempts in a rookie season 484 2012
Longest rush by a quarterback 48 yards 2013
Longest rush by a rookie quarterback 31 yards 2012
Most consecutive pass completions 25 2015 (Also an NFL record)

I'm NOT going to get in a stupid silly argument of Tannehill Vs. Landry. But I wont let you discount Tannehill either.

GO DOLPHINS!!!!

I don't think anyone wants him to go but that's not the question. The question is paying him like Antonio Brown or Julio Jones which he wants when he's really more on a par with Julian Edleman. You think the Patriots would pay him like a #1 WR? Hell no and they seem to be better at this stuff than we are.
