Thats because they do not fear the qb and bring in the safties to stop the run chren.
Re: Thursday Night: Dolphins v. Ravens Game Day Thread
Worst offensive line in all the league. Tannenbaum and Grier should be fired immediately for this debacle. Of course that won't happen because Tannenbaum'is Ross'friend and Ross is clueless.
Re: Thursday Night: Dolphins v. Ravens Game Day Thread
Defensive is no better. 3rd and 6 and they run the ball to run down the clock and the defensive line we spent all that money on is about as tough as a spider web.
Re: Thursday Night: Dolphins v. Ravens Game Day Thread
Did you see that last run????? The guy broke five tackles...ONE AFTER THE OTHER..... OUR idiots we have said, "you try to tackle him first then I'll try BUT ONLY AFTER YOU TRY!!!!!!!"
Re: Thursday Night: Dolphins v. Ravens Game Day Thread
Oh my God. I left my friends house after the 4 and out that was after the 1st pick 6, it's 26 - 0. Home 5-10 minutes later 40 -0.
I can't completely blame Moore, I don't think there are words to describe how bad the blocking was.
Re: Thursday Night: Dolphins v. Ravens Game Day Thread
I honestly wanted to watch this game. Would have been my first of the year. So I did turn it on. I watched the first 5-10 minutes then had to go pick up my daughter from the High School where she was volunteering for a Play they are doing right now.
When I got home I turned it back on in time to see us miss a 50+ yard field goal. I turned it off and went to bed. Had a great nights sleep. Woke up to see 40-0 and couldn't do anything but chuckle to myself.
Now all I am seeing or hearing about is this hit on Flacco by Kiko....Was it that bad? Or a bang bang play that looks worse in slow-mo? I haven't seen it.

Just caught some of the 2nd Quarter on a commercial during "Hannity".
GO DOLPHINS!!!!
Re: Thursday Night: Dolphins v. Ravens Game Day Thread
Hannity...hmmmmm. should have known. Grimey when I first saw that hit, I said "Wasn't he diving forward?" I never saw that many replays. I'll look on NFL dot com but after I saw subsequent ones it was like a half slide and a half dive it that is possible.
I really never knew whether they were getting our guy for just plain hitting the QB while he was giving himself up (the issue I was looking at the replay for in the paragraph above) or whether they were getting him for a targeting hit targeting the QBs head (helmet to helmet).

It was a split second bang-bang hit. Flacco saw the first down in front of him, but then saw Alonso coming, so at the last second he slid and Kiko plowed into him. IMO, although it was a split second decision, Kiko could have eased up before hitting him, but he came in and pretty much hit Flacco in the head with his elbow. If he had hit him solid or tried to pull up, I don't think it would be such a big deal, but Kiko didn't do that, thus...the controversy.
Knowing the way the league is right now, Kiko will probably get a hefty fine and probably suspended one game. I would also guess Suh will get the same.
Re: Thursday Night: Dolphins v. Ravens Game Day Thread
Yeah Cap, even watching the replay, it just didn't seem like the past instances wherein the quarterback was giving himself up. It was a half give up a half try to make progress.
Re: Thursday Night: Dolphins v. Ravens Game Day Thread
i turned it off at halftime, the team is a mess--i dont know how they won 3 in a row...its a mystery.
There is no o-line play, absolutely none.
The defense didnt adjust/shiftt at all to that lopsided line look the Ravens were giving..wth are they doing? Even an amateur in madden knows to shift the lines. This team is clearly unprepared and I see no future with this ownership/management team.

Agreed.....NE is the complete opposite of us....
Gotta be with drawing plays and schemes, coaching....
Re: Thursday Night: Dolphins v. Ravens Game Day Thread
Its a domino effect and its happening with the dolphins....
One player doesnt practice hard and the next one follows....and so on.
They see we dont have a qb.....So they dont care. The only thing they care is about collecting a paycheck and i would too if i had matt moore or cutler as qbs....
Lets say i play defense and i know we arent scoring any points.....Whats a player to do?......
I dont blame them.

Sam, Miami DOES have a QB, not a Marino, but we do have decent QBs; what we DON'T have is an offensive line that can either run or pass block.
As far as you playing defense....what do they have to hang their hats on? Granted, up until the Balt game, they were "rated" top five, but they have been giving up big runs and their pass defense is weak. How many turnovers has this defense gotten? If the defense sees that the offense is having problems, then the defense must get turnovers or three-and-outs to give the offense good field position for any chance. That hasn't happened.
The whole team is poor, and that includes the coaching.
Re: Thursday Night: Dolphins v. Ravens Game Day Thread
They were who we thought they were & I'm glad I'm sticking to my boycott. I only check the game news afterwards and look at stats...This organization is an embarrassment. 40-0? Seriously??? That is completely pathetic and laughable.
