I am cautiously optimistic for the upcoming season. Already have tickets to the game at the Panthers. I believe Gase is an outstanding coach. Yes, there are questions and still positions to be addressed but I think we are going to have a good year and make the playoffs.
Looking forward to the start of the season too. Im thinking we get back to the playoffs. Can we split w/ the Patsies in the regular season and beat them in the playoffs is my big question.
I like the look of the O but questions are still out there on the front 7 of the D. The staff still appear to have their heads in the wrong place on some issues. We did not do enough to upgrade the lb position, Misi is finally off the roster (good) but we signed a cb to fill the spot. Insane. We have Timmons, Alonzo and a rookie as our top 3, OK. After that it gets scary. Hull, Paysinger and Hewitt can make plays here and there but I think they have proven that they are not starters. I think we are going to pay for this if they do not bring another veteran in. Questions at defensive tackle and C/LG also. Right now Im willing to see how things pan out over the summer.
If the team can take "2 steps forward, and one step back" that will be an improvement. However if the team takes "1 step forward and 2 steps back" that would be disastrous. I do think we've made good this off season and 2 steps forward and 0 steps back is doable.
I said 10-6 but if RT is out for the season I have to say I don't think that's possible. Moore won't get us to that record and I have doubts about Cutler being able to do it either.
The wheels are rapidly coming off our cart fellas...been an incredibly bad week.
2 steps forward and no steps backward...ain't gonna happen. With Tannehill's injured and fragile knee, the prospects of doing really well with him drops way down. With Moore as a starting QB, the number of wins could be the same as what would happen with a lame Tannehill. Adding a new seasoned QB instead of RT or MM and things go really south. A 6-10 season or worse is quite likely, IMO, unless the QB is an 'A' player--however, no 'A' player is available to sign. Looks like we may be in for another losing season.
The Dolphins need a to select a promising young QB in the 2018 draft.
I may be in denial but I still see 10-6 as attainable. If the wheels come off then I hope the front office has the guts to let injury prone players walk in 2018. I mean Tanne and Pouncey. Save us some cash. We let Albert and Misi go this year keep it going. Although they continued to think Misi was going to be an all pro to the bitter end.
Thinking about it I think we go 10-6 and betting the ace high on an extra W over the L for 11-5. If our defensive front 7 improves and the oline gets those hole opened up for our backs we will be in every game. Moore throws a nice deep ball so our top 3 wr will always be a threat. Some people disagree but our dbs were not bad last year, given improved play on the top 7 they should be even better.
Bad news is do we still have any cash left after signing Odrick? I would like to grab another lb or a guy like Odrick for the D. Odrick was strong as an ox in the run game at DE or DT.

I do as well. I'm not as upset as you would think I'd be because when Tannehill first got hurt I kinda felt he should have gotten it taken care of. I understand the playoffs were looming and he wanted to play , but come Jan 2017 he should have gotten it taken care of. And I was almost kind of expecting this......although I thought it would happen during the Reg season. SO consider us LUCKY, the glass half full that we were able to sign a quality veteran this early in the Pre season.
I'm even going to the Pre Season game Thursday night.

Yeah I hear ya.
I just tried to do it and the confirmation screen had two entirely different threads set to merge. I'll keep trying!

This has got to be one of the most difficult schedules this year.
OUCH.
I think we will end up 1-15 and get the number one pick overall. That is if teams like the 49ers or chargers do not beat us to it.
Officially we have no QB............Cutler was missing wide open receivers all over the field against the jets.
Bad idea to talk him out of retirement.
Please draft a Qb in the first round in 2018.
Im positive we will pick very high in the first round next year.
Peace.
