This is a moderated phorum for the CIVILIZED discussion of the Miami Dolphins. In this phorum, there are rules and moderators to make sure you abide by the rules. The moderators for this phorum are JC and Colonel.
Just another case of a team quitting on what was working defensively (being aggressive) to try and protect the lead by letting them catch the ball easing up on the pass rush and trying to keep everything in front of them.
Atlanta's D/C should be fired after that debacle...just shameful to allow the Pat's to get back into the game when you had them completely beaten, downtrodden, demoralized and confounded at the half.
Great. Now we have to endure more arrogance from asshole Pats fans.
As for Gaga, I'm glad she didn't turn this into a political rant. I wish all the other artists/entertainers just did their job like she did. She stayed classy unlike other entertainers and that skanky slut Madonna.

I might have made that trade, if I didn't attend the majority of those 1972 home games in the Orange Bowl as an impressionable child.
As a Boston-area resident I will say I am seeing lots of lifetime memories being built for children around here who were my age in 1972.

I would winning is winning and the freaking Pat's are winning. Back in the seventies I remember being as impressed w/ the 73 season as much as I was the 72. The 72 schedule was very weak we were set to run the table and we did. I think we played only 2 teams w/ winning records in 72.

We played the SECOND MOST DIFFICULT SCHEDULE in 1972. This is because we were the second best team in 1971 (we lost the Super Bowl to the Cowboys in the '71 season.
Sure, many teams we played against ended up have a crappy season during 1972, but that is not the fault of scheduling.
But here's the kicker: Despite having a perfect record, we had to play the AFC Championship in 1972 as an AWAY game. They didn't have the same home-field rules back then.
Scheduling back then was different. On our '72 schedule only 3 teams had winning seasons in 71, KC (8-6 '72) Bmore (5-9 '72) and the Vikings (7-7 '72). We actually were tied for w/ KC with the best record in the afc (10-3-1) and beat kc in the playoffs. We should have had the toughest schedule in the afc if scheduling were as today. Fact we had a weak schedule in 72 and we smoked teams just like we should have. No dishonor in that.
They cheat, plain and simple so for me, there are now 5 vacant Superbowl years, which makes the NFL less and less legitimate. It only bothers me that the NFL doesn't really address it effectively. Who would not trade 5 rings for a pair of fines and a draft pick? (Spygate is the big one and it is still happening). Somehow more people seemed to latch on to the deflating scandal, but knowing the other team's plays is huge in comparison to limiting fumbles.
2 more and they are in Lance Armstrong territory and that will be fun lol!

Specifically speaking, please tell me how they cheated this time. They're still filming? How do you know?
I really would like to know this, because I live in New England and would love to remind the Patsie fans that they once again cheated, but your post is the first time I've read anything that suggests they cheated at all this particular season.
I mean...Other than cutting out the headset audio at the regular season game vs Steelers and pulling the fire alarm at the Steeler's hotel before the playoff game...hey wait.
But really, anything else? I'd like to have the ammo please!

Yeah that's a what if. I was wondering if there were any specific allegations or information about it still going on.
Well, it is not AS capable of physical on spot detection as deflating. In the original case, they were caught filming practices but maybe they have gotten more sophisticated.

I thought they were basically rushing four men the entire game. Granted I was at a party full of Patsies fans so I could have been distracted. But what I saw in the second half was the Atlanta D line becoming gassed, with NE doing a better job picking up their stunts and such. What they really could have done differently was mix up their blitzing packages more.
