Maybe, but not against the Pats today.

Yep we turned the corner but the Pats are the big dog on the road to success that we have to get by. We still need more weapons for the Pats fight.

No problem with this team's performance in 2016. Did we play a weak schedule? It wasn't weaker than the schedule the '72 Phins had. They just beat the team in front of them, that's all that you are supposed to do.

We've turned the corner against the kind of teams that fire their coach before the end of the season. We don't have a prayer against the play-off calibre teams unless Ajayi has a record game.

Not smart play calling to go to the middle of the field with 40 seconds left to go. Already in field goal range so go to the endzone and settle for the field goal if not.

That taking off the helmet penalty should not exist.

I agree (sorta).

I believe, when it was first instituted, that the rule was there for the players to stop removing their helmet whenever they made a good play. Pretty much part of the "me" generation, i.e., "Hey, look at me, I just tackled the guy."

However, this season, I thought the rule was gone because I see guys all over the field walking around with their helmets off (not talking about when it is knocked off).

I don't have a problem with what Landry did...he was on the sideline. Yeah, I heard the explanation for it by Fouts - Have to be in the bench area, but if you are off the field and no one gets hurt, who cares?

Yeah, I think the motive behind the rule has more to do with celebration than any possible fear of injury. But the celebration rule came into effect because it was getting out of hand after touchdown when the teams had even created choreographed dance routine. They passed a rule against that but now they have interpreted far too overreachingly.

I think we have. Gase has changed the team dynamic. Profootball talk from NBC has us as #7 ranked out of the playoff teams and says that this time next year, Miami could be sitting in the #1 seed. So the pundits seem to think we are on the right track, and usually you are hard pressed to see the media say nice things about us.

I don't know about #1 seed, FootballGod.

True, Gase has changed the culture. He has done a hell of a job, especially with all the injuries. He has cut guys that aren't performing; he made a cut right on the practice field for a guy who got into trouble off the field. He's a no nonsense guy; just what the Fins needed.

Next year's positioning will depend a lot on who Gase decides to keep, what FAs he gets, and what Miami does in the draft. Hit on a couple of FAs and at least three draft picks and Miami could very well be on their way.

Hope HE dictates only who we draft. Today's idiot order is for the GM to select the position. Like I said during that idiot Ireland's reign, the GM should just be the shopper for the coach who tells him WHAT TYPE of fruit to buy and then the GM picks the particular fruit. Ireland did both.

The coaches should order what they need. I'd like to think that's what is behind the whole war room theroy.whole team discussion of what we need and the best available

But then WTF happened when we moved up and drafted a DE when we didn't even need one?

It's clear where we are really lacking. They also know who has a contract issue and who they make a priority to sign.

GO DOLPHINS!!!!
