Date: December 15, 2016 02:00PM They may still elevate Doughty. Christensen said they haven't definitively decided on Yates as the backup yet. But Gase did make a point of saying that they wanted somebody with experience, which makes sense. Basically you're trading off "know the system" with "having NFL game experience". Both are important, and I have NO idea how coaches weight those two factors when making decisions like this. Re: Dolphins sign T.J. Yates
