Lol right? Total defensive collapse and it's Tanny fault again......
I'm thankful for 6 weeks of great football. Now let this fuel another streak!!
Not sure why Joseph was so afraid of the deep ball from the ravens. I would rather lose playing aggressively than giving teams 10-15 yard easy throws down the field. It looked a lot like the first half of the NE game.
Take your lumps, learn from it, and go out and beat Arizona. We're still right in the thick of the playoff chase.

That's how I see it. I was actually hopeful they would come out of the half and be competive with this group. But the defense did exactly the same. ZONE defense and passes to the middle of the field.

Tell that to the inmates on San Quentin's death row.

Lol......weLloyd those inmates had counsel then. Let's let Sam Sam answer for his own silliness. Blaming Tannehill for that loss is like blaming a doughnut for someone's obsity.
I thought Tannehill has played well the last number of weeks. Like I said, when your opponent scores 34 points, that's the outlier in the scoring stat. That's on our defense.
as far as the defense.....Be thankfull for the defense....They won the last 6 games...
I give tannehill credit but iam not blind.....Whenever the defense allows more than 30 points we have no qb that can make it happen and come back from a deficit...
TCPF its time for you to realize that tannehill is nothing but a scrub.
And its a guarantee we willnever ever make the playoffs with him.
We are still in it because of the defense....
Yes tannehill had a couple of good games against scrub teams so what. He is supposed to....
He met a good defense of the ravens and bang.....6 points the whole game...
Its a shame good talents like landry and parker are getting old and will get older without a chance of making playoffs because we have no QB.
Landry is fantastic.....but he had a few drops. Gets penalized alot also.
Parker can be amazing.......he missed how many games this season? Was he healthy in the last game?
Tanny is athletic and he got caught trying to turn nothing into something. But he stays healthy, shows up for every snap and has a fantastic attitude. WTF is wrong with you bro?
TC--I do understand where SamSam is coming from in his general opinion that Tannehill is not going to be that Super Bowl QB. Clearly, Tannehill is durable and shows great fortitude and drive to play the game. However, he has not shown the ability of many top QBs to take full control of the game when things are going badly. He like many so-so QBs just can't get it done. Is Tannehill a real NFL QB? Sure he is. Could he do better in the judgment department when picking receivers? I say yes he could. Does he bounce back after getting slammed to the ground? Yes he has, so far. Does he want to win? Absolutely!! Like so many so-so QBs, when the game seems out of control, he seldom is able to pick the team up by the boot straps and say "follow me--we can do this. Don't panic--we're in the game." Far too many games have been lost to say he has the ability to accomplish this.
Granted, he has to have a front line that will protect him. He needs receivers that can run routes cleanly. He can't do it alone. So, it's not all on him. It's hard to determine what is actually missing in his QB make-up that differentiates a top QB from the average QB. Maybe it is the cast of characters around him. Maybe it is the personality of the QB. Maybe it is the confidence and ego factor of the top QBs. That's open for discussion.
Currently, I don't believe Tannehill is the QB that will get us into the playoffs, this year or next. There's just something missing from his make-up to push/or pull the team that far.
The "wet firecracker" assessment doesn't give Tannehill any credit though. I surely don't believe that to be a realistic assessment of
Tannehill. That connotes that Tannehill is a dud. That's not close. Dion Jordan--now that expression is fitting!!!
TC--I've said for a while that Tannehill is not the guy to take us into the playoffs or beyond. That opinion, right or wrong, is based on watching him game after game. Perhaps, I've missed one or two games in the past 10 years, so I've seen most if not all of the games to date. I like the guy, think he's a shinning example off the field and is a decent NFL QB. However, he's like so many other average QBs playing with team mates that just don't gel to make great things happen consistently.
My opinion was not based on the Ravens debacle which was on the horrendous play of the secondary and inability to correct defensive schemes during the game. Being down 24-0 at half-time typically spells disaster for the team with zip points. Seldom if ever can any team come back with such a deficit.
SamSams' assessment of Tannehill as being a "dud" (wet firecracker) isn't a fair assessment of Tannehill as a player or as a person.
Would I like to see Tannehill lead the Dolphins into the playoffs...absolutely. That would be wonderful. It won't happen this year...perhaps next year. Let's all hope that there's more room for him to excel and that a SB ring is in his future as a Dolphins. I'd be happy...you would be too. SamSam would maybe not be positive about him even then. Who knows. I'd like to find out. Wouldn't you?

Count how many 1-2-3 and outs we had in this game...THE DEFENSE GETS TIRED.....
We have no offense and no QB......Tannehill is a SCRUB.
He is always been a wr turned qb scrub but you refuse to see it.

And another thing you refuse to see......The defense already gave up on tannehill...
Whats the point of playing good defense if you cant score points. We going to lose anyways...
Remember when we started the season against the seahawks?
The defense played great allowing just 13 points but we only scored 10.
We were out of the playoffs right then...
Yes we won 6 straight games against scrub teams so what...The season is over anyways.
On a good note....I wish tannehill was great and we would make playoffs every year.....But its been 5 years and not once have we made it to the postseason...
Its time to cut ties with him next year and go in another direction. Or else its going to be the same story in 2017 and 2018 and so on.
Tannehill is not the type of qb that rallys the troops and everybody
stands behind him and say....Lets go our qb is going to win it for us..
Tannehill is the type of qo that needs for everything to go perfect and everybody to play lights out in order to win a game...
Like when ayagi ran for 200 in a row....remember?
But defenses adjust.....Nobody is scared of tannehill and the long pass......So they insert 2 more bodies to the LOS......Therefore no MO running for the phish......And since tannehill cant make shit happen either because he sucks....GAME OVER....
And all that time and all those 3 and outs the defense is running out of air because they human right?

The D has not given up on RT. Do you remember the Rams game? Miami down 10-0 with 6 minutes to play. What happened? RT drove the offense for two scores to win the game. They score 31 vs SF; they score 31 vs SD. RT, if I remember correctly, was the QB during that time. Ajayi provided a ground game; when that wasn't working, the team turned to RT and he delivered. The D has plenty of faith in RT.
Teams may not be scared of RT and the long ball, but he has connected on quite a few of them this season; he is much improved in that area. BTW, there were quite a few drops on the long ones (along with the short ones).
What's the point of playing good defense?.....maybe the team has a better chance of winning? Besides, they are getting paid to play good defense. If they don't, they will be looking for another job. They played good defense against the Rams and RT brought the team back to win the game.
Yes, I remember the game against the Seahawks. Maybe you forgot, but Stills dropped a long one from RT that was an easy score.
One game, and the first game at that, and Miami is out of the playoffs?
Scrub teams? OK.
Its already been explained on this board, ad nauseam, that RT will be back with the Fins next year. Miami could go after another QB in the draft, but (1) too many other positions need to be filled to worry about QB until the middle rounds, and (2) as of right now, there are no superstar QBs coming out. Besides, Miami won't be in draft position to get one of the top QBs anyway. Griese wasn't a Dan Marino, but he played just fine with a good supporting cast around him.
RT doesn't need the guys around him "to play lights out." All he needs is for his guys to play well.
Of course defenses adjust, although Miami didn't adjust very well vs the Ravens, both offense and defense.
Granted, 3 and outs are not good for either side of the ball, however, you really want to put it on the 3 and outs vs the Ravens? Flacco was killing Miami in the middle of the field. The defense wore itself down by making no stops.
I realize you are frustrated with the Fins (moreso with RT), as we all are, but they are at 7-5 at the moment, so not that bad a season. Oh, they also had that 6 game winning streak, something they hadn't done for many years.
Sam, I have been with this team much longer than you have and I am still with them; will never give up. There have been some great teams, there have been some very poor teams, and there have been some teams that didn't quite get it done. I'm not going anywhere. If anyone has a right to bitch and give up, its me. You will see me give my opinion on different things, but I will also understand what is going on.
There are a lot of problems on this team, and I am giving Gase a chance to fix it. Not gonna be done in one season.
