Dolphins v. Ravens: Game Day Thread
Posted by: colonel ()
Date: December 04, 2016 05:05AM

It's Sunday. Today we face the 6-5 Baltimore Ravens in a contest of wills.

Our O-line is still not healthy and the Ravens' defense may take advantage of it thwarting the running game. Hopefully, pass protection will be potent enough to give Tannehill time to throw and connect with our receivers.

I can't imagine this to be a high scoring game, so it really will be a game of wills. We've been fortunate to string a number of wins together (we are rolling) and today is another big opportunity to continue that string. I like Flacco but he's known to thrown a few meatballs in haste. We need to be looking to intercept. Let's see how that effort pans out.

Our game is in Baltimore and starts at 1 pm. Go Dolphins!

Wow...did the defense not get told they were supposed to be on the field for that first drive?

Holy hell, that was absolutely horrible defense.

And the second drive too.

This is a game where we going to have to score a lot of points....But we do not have a qb.

We'll see.

Defense has Flacco looking like Elway. This game stinks. We need at least 2 new lbs next year.

Better get something on the board with the 2 minute drill here. Figures they get Flacco on his first "hot" day of the season.

Sam that was completely unnecessary. Our defense is completely failing. They need to give up the Zone and go Man to man. Thats what we are paying SUH for. To open up and extra man to handle the middle of the field.

Everygame is NOT won & lost by the QB. The more you blame Tannehill for everything including whoever didn't outfit the team with the right Cleets and blown defense coverage the more ignorant and biased you look.

GO DOLPHINS!!!!

Look at how soft the corners are playing. Pathetic.

We are in trouble today.

Flacco is pinpoint accurate and playing so loose on the Ravens' receivers is behind the 21 zip score.

The secondary needs to tighten up and not lay back. The LBs can't cover the center of the field.

Not sure we can catch up in the 2nd half. confused smiley

That defensive coordinator needs to go in the lockeroom and change it up and STEP it up.

I think I'm the jinx. I just turned off Redzone. Every time I try to watch they lose. I turned it off last week just before that final SF drive. Here's hoping for a miracle 2nd half with press coverage and a pissed off Jay train to open up the offense.

The Ravens defense is double teaming Cameron Wake on every play. Where is the pressure from inside?

Receivers have too much room to move allowing Flacco time to lead them for catch and run.

Tucker is one heck of a kicker. Maybe the best in the NFL right now.

Samsam--I agree with TC that we are not behind because of anything Tannehill didn't do. It's all on the defense at the moment. Hopefully adjustments are made and Ravens don't score more so we can possibly catch up. At the moment, it looks bleak, very bleak. sad smiley

Picked off--bad pass--thrown behind our receiver who was surrounded by Ravens defenders.

I'm afraid, the game is lost.

Apparently, my belief that it would be a close game was, oh so wrong JC. We're getting our head handed to us.

Flacco is playing a super ball game. Picking us a part. sad smiley

Why does Hewitt celebrate every tackle like he just won the superbowl with a sack for a safety?

Baltimore had 2nd and 9 and the back gets 10 yards. Hewitt makes the tackle after the first down and he's celebrating??

6 games straight! Cant win them all unless your living in 72'

Time to get up, brush it off and get back on the line. THIS will be the barometer to judge our new Team. December collapse or will we move on?

Looking forward to next week.......GO DOLPHINS!!

That was painful but a necessary wake up call. We got outplayed and out coached from the opening snap.

Well, boys, that was playoff football and you failed. Now stop looking at the seeding and play some ball.

The D looked like it didn't do a bit of film study this week.

We'll see what this team is made of against the Cards. Will they rebound or let this carry over.

My money is on rebounding.

We were taken to the woodshed and thrashed about the whole body. 38-6--what a whipping.

The Ravens figured out our LB situation--inability to cover--and they used the crossing routes and center of the field to make us look incompetent. Once they were up 21 points...we were no longer in the game. The defense failed miserably and being behind by 3 TDs is just too much for our offense to bear. We're growing but remain capable of being out coached and out played. Ravens Defensive coordinator did a stellar job figuring out our passing weaknesses.

This is a game where we fired and fell back. I hope we can improve upon our pass route coverage so we don't have another loss next week or the week after etc.

Despite this shellacking; the sun will rise tomorrow.

I just got home and looked at the highlights. Holy shit...what a beat down this team took. Hopefully our coaching staff looks at this thoroughly and learns something from it. Big time reality check.
