I ragged on Damien Williams all of last year and into preseason this year. But once again, as I did with Ajayi, I have to man up & say that I was wrong. Williams has been a true gamer for us. Tough runs & good receiver. He's really done a nice job and has earned his roster spot.

Gase is getting the most out of the players. We may not make the playoffs yet, but we are definitely headed in the right direction.

I thought that was a WR on Williams TD reception. Nice route and adjustment to the ball on that catch.

Nice job keeping both feet in bounds too.

Not to take away from Williams or any other individual player whose production has improved, but I have to agree with SC's comment that a lot of the credit is likely due to the coaching staff.

First and foremost, there's seemingly a HUGE culture change. Accountability, meritocracy...expectation of excellence & winning.

Then there's coaching putting players in position to succeed. I don't think players' talent-level made a jump...just that coaching, system, playcalling, etc. put them in a position to maximize their collective talent for results.

Probably most encouraging 'not readily apparent' thing for me is that we're seeing results while knowing that the roster has significant holes - both from injuries and from missing pieces or players still not consistently playing up to talent level. In other words, we've won 4 in a row and there's significant room for improvement in terms of overall roster talent both this year and in upcoming years as we build.

Yes, TS, meritocracy....Philbin was all about seniority.

Still a bit early for I told you so as far as Tannehill goes. I'm thrilled he's looked better as of late, but consistency is what will determine whether he's the long term answer or not. Having a couple of good games sandwiched between bad ones won't get it done. Here's to hoping that Tannehill finishes the year strong and truly becomes our franchise QB.

Exactly right.

I want to see him consistently winning a few games for us in the 4th quarter before i call him the real deal again.

He is tough and he is making some very good plays though, i do not deny that.

He is probably if not the most one of the most durable qbs in the nfl.
I cannot realistically see many other qbs getting up from some of those hits hes taken.

But i want to see him be more consistent with his throws.
